Why do some people not like the pairing of Harry and Ginny?

I personally upendo this pairing so much!! And I really cannot see why some people do not like it. I would like some reasonable and honest majibu so that I can actually have a real debate ... Harry/Ginny forever <3<3

Ginny Dated other guy so that see could get harrys atencion so that he would like her because she knew that harry had a little spark for her.

Also, some claim that Ginny is a Mary Sue, but I don't really understand that either. She isn't perfect.

@BookFreak - in my view it did a very long build up. people seem to get that because he 'suddenly falls in love' after he sees Ginny kissing dean. I disagree, it was a development of feelings over several years, and then he could not take it anymore. - I don't understand how that is a reason against Harry/Ginny, wewe do not have to be the best of Marafiki to fall in love. - And I would not exactly call it a crush, the definition of crush is a brief but intense infatuation. it wasn't infatuation, it was clearly love. and people saying that she was a fangirl are wrong since she did a 180 at the chamber of secrets (the book) it was a completely different reaction than in PS/SS. - Exactly how is that being a slut, I still don't get the people who say this... - Completely disagree. The Weasleys saw him already as family, it would not matter who he married, they would upendo him just the same. Remember in OotP, with Mrs Weasley's boggart, she sees Harry dead along with the others in the family. Their relationship was built on love.

@Book-Freak - I realize that! I was just offering refutations of maarufu anti-Harry/Ginny 'arguments' (read: myths, lies, delusions, etc.) I think that if one really reads the vitabu they can grasp the intensity of the Harry/Ginny relationship. And some need to stop hating based on ridiculous claims and stop looking for things that don't exist (harmony shippers are a good example). There is a brilliant essay kwa Red Monster which I totally agree with and is very well sourced and quoted (read it, it's one of the best essays I think on the Harry/Ginny ship before Book 6) : link

Harry and Ginny don't spend much time together. But upendo is not about how much time wewe spend with someone. It happens when it happens. It doesn't take much time to fall in upendo with someone. I say it takes less than a minute. So they can totally be head over heels for each other though they don't spend much time together. Harry realized his upendo for Ginny only when she dated some other guy because sometimes one just needs a little push to realize bigger things in life.

It's just my opinion. I maybe wrong.

That's true. I guess it would depend how they do it. For me it was the whole 'little childhood crush' but then she gets him. I don't really care for that. Of course main hero/main heroine isn't any less cliche. Like I said--when it comes down to it I simply like Harry/Hermione better. I feel like she put zaidi development into their relationship.

I've also seen Ginny as zaidi of a sister to Harry as well. So that probably doesn't help.
