Harry Potter Article: Why I don't like Ginny Weasley

the only weasley I don't like

So I know I'm gonna receive a lot of hatred for this, but I actually dislike Ginny Weasley. I don't hate her, the series are full of characters I cannot relate to au just don't like for some particular reason, for example Cho is one of them.

When I tell someone I dislike Ginny, they start to answer me like this:

"Go read the books!"

This definitely was worse for me. I disliked book Ginny more, and I got it the moment I finished kusoma the Chamber Of Secrets. She didn't even do anything in the book. It was all Harry saving her and she trembling all the book.

But more, she is wildly overrated in my opinion. When I tell :

"Umm.. She is a Mary Sue?"

People quickly get mad at me. Really, really mad. Most of them start to defend her and tell all about Hermione.

"Hermione never failed even one subject. Harry is the perfect warrior for Voldemort. Now Ginny is Mary Sue for you, huh?"

Hermione never failed because she studied, like wewe can. Harry was the chosen one and the main character. However, Ginny suddenly turned "good" in Qudditch and didn't even have a journey on sitting on the broom.

I didn't get a piece of her character when she suddenly turned everyone's favorite.

For me, Ginny is a player and sucks at relationship with boys. She first dates Dean Thomas, and literally gives up on him because feels something for Harry. Ewwww. She starts her upendo journey too soon, without making any friendship bridges. What grosses me out the most, she dates boys older than her.

Not even mentioning her relationship with Harry. Since Harry loves Ginny, I had to give up on hating the relationship but I didn't really like it, though. After Harry saved Ginny, and after Ginny played with Dean, she suddenly kisses Harry and Harry doesn't refuse. I don't find any "clue" to their love. Its suspicious for me, did she give a upendo potion to Harry? There are many makala debunking the theory, and I read them all carefully. The most common logic is that Harry wasn't too obsessed with Ginny. I'd like to remind that there are stages of the upendo potion, it could be really strong, au not strong at all. And most probably, its the not strong version of the potion. Harry just feels a slight upendo for Ginny.

After all these reasons, I am still sad about her with Harry because I think Hermione and Harry had a great friendship bridge that could eventually lead to lovers. Anyway, she got Ron, that's not that bad.

Genevievebarbie Actually, there's nothing wrong with being with boys older than you. In fact, most Indian parents try to find someone at least a few months older to make sure that by that time he has a stable job, is respectful and decent, and can take care of their daughter. My own parent's example : My father is 5 years older than my mother.

elsafan1010 ^Yeah its completely ok. My father is 6 years older than my mother, but they started dating as adults while Ginny dates from the very first books.

elsafan1010 Omg guys just remembered how rude Ginny was in the sixth book! It definitely holds a reason too. She’s young but has no respect to elder, also teased Luna who I love a lot.

LowriLorenza89 ^I can't remember Ginny teasing Luna a lot. It's more the opposite - she's one of the few students who befriends Luna and sticks up for her. It's a bit of an issue judging Ginny simply at the end of COS. She's eleven years old at the time, remember, and she's just been through a really traumatic experience. She was possessed, forced to attack people and nearly died herself! She develops throughout the series. You say that Ginny learned to be good at Quidditch too quickly, without any experience or practice. Well, she did have practice - she admits that she's been borrowing her older brothers' brooms in secret for years. Harry didn't know or see this, so we as readers/viewers don't know either until she says so. You also say that Hermione is good academically/never fails at school because she studies, but I also think that's a natural academic talent. I'm surprised that you say that the idea of a girl dating an older boy (even just a year older?) grosses you out. I thought that was pretty normal, especially among teenagers. Girls at that age have matured more than boys.

elsafan1010 Oops, that meant for Fleur. She called Fleur a “cow” as I remember but I’m not so sure. Yeah I was so worried about Ginny when I learned that Voldemort tricked her, but it just didn’t make it up to all the other reasons. About Qudditch, I just protected Hermione over there, how can she be a mary sue while ginny is also perfect at something? A girl dating and older boy is ok for me, my dad and mom did the same. However, don’t you think an eleven year old should be more focused on her studies and friends instead of chasing boys? She dated all the elder boys and played on them, just to impress Harry. She was young.

elsafan1010 Plus, the fact that Ginny borrowed the broom from her brother to train all these years seems like JKR tryna make Ginny way more liked but it did bother me so much I ended up disliking her even more.

LowriLorenza89 Yeah, Ginny was a bit of a bitch towards Cho - but so was Molly, and Hermione and pretty much every female character. It made me wonder if her being part Veela was having some kind of instinctive rivalry effect on all nearby females, kind of the opposite of the attractive effect Veelas have on males. I can't remember Ginny chasing after boys at 11. She had a crush on Harry and couldn't hide it, but she wasn't chasing. She didn't date Michael Corner until her third year - 13 years old - and he was her first boyfriend. I don't think that those fans were calling Hermione a Mary Sue there, more like pointing out that Hermione excels at something which I'd say counts more than just being good at a sport. Hermione's know-it-all moments and occasional narrow mindedness blocks her from being a Mary Sue.

The inayofuata day, during class, it was extremely hard for me to focus. Hugo's words haunted me. They're still going to make the horcruxes. We offically had a first-class problem on our hands, and it wasn't going to be easy to solve. Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, Part 2!

Wow. I had to open with wow, because I'm speechless. I saw the midnight premier earlier this morning, and I had this uplifting feeling. To see all of these loyal mashabiki inaonyesha their pride and coming out for the last big Harry Potter event was simply heartwarming (I actually only feel this now - I was too tired to really focus on the little details before the movie). Plus, we got these killer Harry Potter 3D glasses, which went far beyond my wildest hopes and dreams.

I'm doing this review out of sadness, mostly. It's just now hitting me that now this remarkable series will fade away from my life....
