His feet made strange scraping noises as they slid along the marble floored corridors of Hogwarts. His exhaustion was nothing compared to the humiliation he felt, his Slytherin tie now had a blood red stain on it, thanks to James Potter's gang in potions class. He leaned against the wall, the bags under his eyes seeming to add an unbearable wieght to his sleepyness. He just started to dose leaning against the ukuta when he heard running footsteps behind him. "Sev!" Lily shouted, her voice worried. Snape shaffled around to face her, his side still pressed against the wall. "Hi" he groaned, his eyes barely open. Lily brushed the hair gently away from his face. "Where have wewe been?" she questioned, a hint of concern in her voice. "I've been looking everywhere for you" She wiped the blood from his nose on her sleeve. "Did they hurt wewe again?" she hissed angily, her pale skin flushing in anger. "Yes..." he mumbled, closing his eyes, half asleep on the wall. "I'm taking wewe to Madam Pompfrey." she stated, wrapping her hand around his boney arm, "Come on." She tugged. He remained unmoving on the wall. "Sev!" she half-shouted. "Move!" She pulled with both hands, sending Severus Snape face-first towards the ground. He landed with a thud, still unmoving, and unaware, so tired that not even Lily's touch would wake him. Lily turned him over on his back, only to see that his nose was broken, and that a steady flow of blood was making its way down his face. "Oh crap." she hissed, standing. Reaching under the bottom of her Griffindor sweater she ripped off a piece of her shirt's fabric and put it around his nose. "Wait here, Sev" she whispered, as if he could hear her. She sprinted down the hallway, looking for help taking every twist and turn in the ngome before running into Professor Dumbledore. "Help...Severus" she panted pointing in his apparent direction. "Nose...blood" Dumbledore looked concerned. "Severus is bleeding? Take me to him." Lily grabbed the old man's hand, and towed him along, like a dog on a leash. They reached Snape in the deserted hallway, he was still unconscous on the hall floor, and the blood had begun to seep through the strip of cloth from Lily's shirt. She pulled the cloth off of his face, laying it on the ground, pushing his hair away, so that it didn't get matted in the blood. "Help me lift him" Dumbledore alisema in a calm tone of voice. "He needs to go to the hospital wing."

Lily didn't sleep that night, and stayed kwa her best friend's side every second. She watched his face as he slept, every slight motion. His body tensed every twenty minutes, but, as far as Lily was concerned, the best parts of the night were when he would whisper her name in his sleep. But kwa morning, her eyes were swollen and bloodshot, and she felt that she might even be embarassed if Severus saw her this way, But she stayed anyways, hoping that he would accept her for the way she looked, and maybe even be greatful that the reason they were so bloody was because she was with him the entire time. At eight thirty Dumbledore came into the room "Ah, Miss Evans. I see wewe have stayed here with our dear friend Mister Snape all night." She smiled sweetly, standing up to Dumbledore "Yes, sir. I felt it would be wrong not to do so." She sat back down, her eyes re-focusing on Severus's. She adjusted the bandage on his head, trying to get the pieces of hair that stuck out inbetween the bandages to behave. She frowned, his hair still standing out at uneven angles. "Madam Pompfrey is under the impression that Snape was under a confundus curse, and drank a sleeping potion.Do wewe think this could be possible, Miss Evans?" "Yes." She alisema angrilly "It was Potter and the lot, Snivellus they call him, those stupid good for nothing animals." She looked as if she was about to cry "And I wasn't there to help him." She put her head down on Snape's chest, and listened to his moyo beat. "But I promise, I will be inayofuata time."
