Yeah, so I just wrote a novel about how important it is to set a healthy male-female relationship example to a child and in my opinion Lucius and Narcissa kind of give that (you stone me for that, but I just loved the Malfoys in book 7). And if you are a girl, it's also important to set an example as a woman, and Narcissa is a good mother (okay, yes, she may be a little overprotective, but that's the sickness of each and every one with an only child), a pretty good wife and also feminine enough. I just love Narcissa. Molly would be great too, but I guess she'd start annoying me after a while, of course if I didn't have 5 siblings the case would be different. Bellatrix is someone not fit for motherhood - she would blow up her baby on the first night it started crying. Lily would probably be a good mother too, but I can't forgive the character the Snape thing. That's soooo brrr. I hate this Lily-Snape line. And Tonks.. poor Tonks just gives me the creeps. We would annoy each other to hell, because Tonks is exactly the symbol of those things about women I just can't like.

I agree with delamico. Narcissa is classy, loving, brave, intelligent and quietly holds her family together. My favourite character.

I must say I don't understand what makes Lily the best mum (why so many fans picked her). I'm sure most mums in Harry Potter would gladly sacrifice themselves for their child (and probably for their husbands, too). I don't think we have enough info on her to judge her properly. Same goes for Tonks. We know more about Merope and Barty's mum, for example. Bellatrix doesn't even have a child. I don't think she'd make a good mum though but who knows.
