and felt so much upendo wewe almost cried?
Have wewe ever gazed in someone's eyes,
and felt so safe?
Have wewe ever wanted something so bad,
wewe could almost taste it?
Have wewe ever made a promise,
wewe just couldn't keep?

I used to think
They were so beautiful
Now all I see
Is darkness
An empty shell
wewe went through hell
I'm not so sure
What's left of your soul
But in some way

The air is hot and still
But rain pours down
The leaves on trees whisper
to eachother
Thunder roars
Lightning flashes
And people dance in the rain
Caught in the middle
Of the summer storm

I wrote this poem some weeks ago, when there was, in fact, a summer storm. I hope wewe liked it.
