A Happy Life: Chapter 8
[Early morning in PPTH and nurses and doctors are bustling around the doing their jobs. Wilson is sitting in his office reviewing some files. The team are up in the differential room going over files of their latest patent while having coffee. House enters the hospital lobby. House walks into the differential room.]
House:[singing]Lets spend the night together.Ill satisfy your every need (every need)And I
now know wewe will satisfy me.Oh my, my, my, my, my Lets spend the night together.Now I need wewe zaidi than ever Lets spend the night together now.
[Foreman,Taub, and 13 all look up at House as he waltzes into the room singing. All 3 of them look at each other and smile.]
Taub: What took wewe so long?What has wewe in such a good mood?
House: Traffic, and the walk in.. I’m a cripple remember.
Foreman: 35 yr old man, chest pains and
House: moyo attack..
13: His moyo checks out. An echo was done.
House: Foreman and Taub go to the patients house and look around. 13 I want the echo redone and a CT of the chest. I'm going to go check in with Caring Wilson.
[House exits the room and heads towards Wilson's office. House enters the office as Wilson looks up with a why do I bother shutting my door look.]
Wilson: Come in House make yourself at home.
House: I think Cuddy is pregnant.
[Wilson drops his pen and almost spits the coffee out that he was sipping]
Wilson: You, she, how? When? That’s great.. How do wewe feel about it House?
House: I'm not sure. Kid with my genes is bound to be scewed up.
[House gets up and walks over to the glass door and looks out the window.]
Wilson: Did Cuddy take a pregnancy test? Are wewe sure?
House: She has been getting sick for a week au so. I told to have some blood work done this morning when she brought Rachel in for hers.
Wilson: How do wewe think Cuddy will feel about it?
House: She has wanted a kid for years.. then she got Rachel.. She looked so happy. But its with me. I screw everything up. I don't know what kind of father..
Wilson: House just because your relationship with your father was strained doesn't mean wewe will be the same way. I've seen a change in you. It’s a change for the good since you've come back from Mayfield.
House: I don't want to hurt Cuddy. What if I screw up. This is the only me she gets..What if a baby changes everything.
[House limps towards the door and stops at it.]
Wilson: House wewe will be fine. Cuddy will be fine. And If she is pregnant .the baby will be fine. wewe can work through it. That’s what couples do everyday..
[House limps out of the office and down the hall. House's phone vibrates and he flips it open.]
House: yes mistress..
Cuddy: I'm up in my office.
House: I'll be right up .
