I knew ;)
It's an interesting title but I wanted it to be called Lisa :)
It would have a double meaning :)

Oh please, Katy Jacobs. Like you don't know what Huddy is.

I don't like Katie Jacobs, sorry:) And i hated her approach to the Huddy issue. And the fact that she called Lucas "a nice guy". It's like calling House a "nice guy", for Christ's sake. Wilson is a nice guy in this show. House and Lucas, no freaking way. Has everyone forgotten what we know about Lucas from season 5, blinded by the dear-Lucas-playing-with-Rachel and cooking-dinner images?...

A, huddyislove, yessss. Yesssss, "Lisa". What a sweet choice that would have been:) Especially since "Lisa" is such a beautiful name for such a beautiful person and nobody calls her that on the show (very few exceptions, Wilson a few times). I actually look forward to the time when i'll hear House call her "Lisa" for the first time. I think i'll get goosebumps.
But i think that "5 to 9" actually refer to the time frame of the episode. They have specifically said that it's a day out of Cuddy's life, perhaps they meant it in the literal sense.

Actually, I love Wilson, but I don't consider him to be a "nice" guy either. I mean, he has cheated on is wife/wives..right?

Please don't get all mad at me for this, but I don't really dislike Lucas. I mean, I adore Cuddy so how can I dislike him for liking her. If he does something to seriously hurt her, I won't like him anymore. The only bad feelings I have towards him at the moment is that he taking Houses spot, BUT...that is partially Houses fault too. I am a big, BIG Huddy, but I try really hard not to let that make me dislike the rest of the show.
The show is primarily about House, but I pretty much love all of the other characters in their own way. I am not overly fond of Foreman and I actually have gone back an forth on Thirteen, but all of them are human and flawed.
The thing I like best about the show is that it isn't a romance novel.

Just a thought. The "FIve to Nine" title reference is most likely based in pop culture.
It refers back to an old film & song and frame of mind - "Nine to Five."
The writers give it a simple twist by turning it around. This then implies they
will portray Cuddy in the after hours - depicting her other roles as a Mommy, &
also as a woman.

"Nine to Five" is also a musical and I think a movie...

It sounds like this episode is another one that breaks the traditional "House" episode format. I'm pretty excited about it. I really liked 6x10 "Wilson" because of its unconventional format. In particular, I like how we got to view House and his team from a completely different perspective. Right when the episode came out, I made the comment how 6x10 gave you a better view on just how much House and his team "terrorize" the hospital. I'm expecting to see more of the same in "Five to Nine".

As far as the name of the episode goes, I'm sure most of you know that people refer to a "normal" job as being a "nine to five" job. I think the main foundation for the episode's name is to convey that Cuddy's job as dean is anything but "normal". That and the insane amounts of time Cuddy puts into the hospital. A five to nine job would be a 16-hour day, or double the amount of time as a "normal" job.

All in all, I expect that 6x14 will be very similar in form to Wilson's episode, in that basically we follow Cuddy around for a day and experience her day. I think it will be an entertaining change. However, I will immediately retract my comment if I have to endure more "domestic Luddy" scenes in it. And I fear that it isn't a question of "if", but "when" (based on spoilers).

LipschitzWrath, completely agree:) I love seeing things at PPTH from a different perspective and i LOVE the fact that the writers decided to pay tribute to these two amazing pivotal characters - Wilson and Cuddy.
However, i pray that the shower scene with dear Lucas is at 5 am and the day ends in some way without him. I no longer dare hope that 9 pm means any form of Huddy bliss, but still, i surely hope the episode does not begin AND end with the Luddy romance.
