Well, this onyesha was made during the questioning of women's rights, so naturally it would have a few degrading elements for women an example would be the book that Jeannie was uandishi on 'How to be a good parent' and Anthony made her change the title to 'How to be a good mother' in the assumption that only women typically take care of children and are therefore put in such stereotypical roles, lots of shows were like that in the early 20th century because of the the conventions of the time, but now that times are changed it is different. If this onyesha was made in 2012 and did the same thing, then it would be zaidi offending because women have zaidi rights, personally I did not think it fair for women to be stuck in the stereotypical roles in the 1950s/1960s and even zaidi prior to that, but during this time, people would not have seen such things as 'sexist', probably not even Barbara Eden (The woman who plays Jeannie) at the time.... So I find it a bit offending, but at the same time, I don't.
