Does anybody else find it a bit unreasonable that Inuyasha should turn into an Uncontrolable Beast when transformed?

I'm asking this question, because I always found it strange, if not offensive, that Inuyasha's demon blood should be implicted as such a blood thirsty and mindless beast when both his father and Seshomaru are expressed as possesing such strong wills aided kwa their cool, calm, controled and otherwise sophisticated demeanor.
Does anybody else find it a bit unreasonable that Inuyasha should turn into an Uncontrolable Beast when transformed?

kwa this I am referring to the raw nature of the demon's spirit itself being portrayed as savage, without a true demon's spirit to control it.

i find it unfair that other half demons can't do it even if his father is super strong au whatever. but i can understand why he is uncrontrollable when it happens it's because his father and lord sesshomaru were born with and have the ability to controll it. while Inuyasha on the other hand wasn't meant to have so much power he wasn't born with it and so he didn't have the ability to controll all his demon blood and power.
