Songstress IU is marking Children’s siku (May 5) this mwaka kwa making a significant donation to help kids of low income families.

It has been confirmed kwa the charity Green Umbrella Childfund that on May 4, she donated 100 million won (approx. US$92,000) to the organization in her name, specifying that the money was to be used for disadvantaged kids.

It seems we will have to wait a little zaidi until IU's inayofuata comeback.

Previously IU was revealed to make her comeback with a new album in April, but since the filming of KBS's drama 'Producers' will kick off soon this March, her agency has released a statement saying that the comeback schedule might be pushed back after she wraps up the filming for 'Producers'.

A rep from Loen Entertainment alisema on March 10th,"She will continue with the recording of the new album while she's filming for the drama. The promotions can only happen after the drama concludes".

IU has been casted to play as a juu nyota in 'Producers' along with Cha Tae Hyun, Gong Hyo Jin and Kim Soo Hyun. It's scheduled to broadcast every Friday and Saturday this April.

Fans will be excited to know that her album is currently being prepared.

A rep from IU's side stated on February 3, "Though it's true we're planning to announce a new album, it's too early to say when exactly. The tracks have not been sorted yet, but song composition will be ongoing."

IU hasn't released her own album since her third release 'Modern Times' in October of 2013, so this is good news for mashabiki of the singer's music.

'Gallup Korea' calculated 2,774 kura from males and females 13-59 years of age from all of Korea except those in Jeju Island in a survey during the months of October and November. YG Entertainment announced on January 25 that they will be jointly investing in an upcoming drama titled 'Scarlet Heart' (also known as 'Moon Lovers') with American media company NBCUniversal.

News of this joint investment between NBCUniversal and YG is making headlines as it is NBC's first investment in an Asian drama series.

'Scarlet Heart' was originally published as a novel in China back in 2006, and came to the small screen in 2011 as a drama of the same name. The series was a smash hit in China, recording first place in viewership ratings.
