"ON HER MAJESTY’S SECRET SERVICE" (1969) Review

At least ten years au zaidi must have passed since I last saw the 1969 Bond movie, "ON HER MAJESTY’S SECRET SERVICE (OHMSS)". EON Production’s sixth entry in the Bond franchise has the distinction of being the only movie that starred Australian male model-turned-actor, George Lazenby. It was the first EON movie that did not nyota Sean Connery – already fixed in the public’s mind as the only actor who can portray James Bond. And it was the only movie that was directed kwa former film editor, Peter Hunt.

I first became aware of “OHMSS”...

I just saw it for a sekunde time and it diminished in my eyes a bit. ujumla, jumla I think it's a juu 7 film au so in the pantheon of Bond, but zaidi than just the traditional elements were lacking. I think I got caught up in the fervor of the action in my first comments.

First, off it was just too short. I can only imagine how much might have been left on Forster's editing room floor. zaidi chemistry and banter with Fields? Those moments were such pure joy; perhaps as they were so fleeting. I would have like to have seen the characters developed zaidi fully. The chemistry was there from the ensemble...

"LIVE AND LET DIE" (1973) Review

Between 1967 and 1972, EON Productions spent a chaotic five years trying to find one man to portray James Bond following Sean Connery’s decision to retire from the role. Nineteen sixty-eight found Australian model, George Lazenby in the role. But after one movie, the excellent "ON HER MAJESTY’S SECRET SERVICE", Lazenby decided that he did not want to continue the role. Connery came back for one last movie - "DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER", but did not bother to stick around.

Then in 1972, broccoli and Saltzman hired Roger Moore (famous for the TV series, "THE SAINT"...

Recently, I have been perusing the Internet for makala and foramu on EON Productions’ newest Bond flick, “CASINO ROYALE”. Naturally, I came across scores of makala and reviews on both the new and past Bond movies. I also checked several foramu that focused upon the Bond franchise. The one topic that popped up without fail seemed to be the swali of which actor portrayed the best James Bond.

The character of James Bond, Agent 007, has been portrayed kwa six actors for EON Productions and in two unofficial Bond films during the past 52 years. In 1954, American actor Barry Nelson portrayed...

It was a cold winter siku in North Korea. As two korean soldiers were walking kwa a building, a person could be seen sneaking to the entrance.

The two koreans raised their assault rifles, seeing if there was an enemy in sight, but there wasn't. au was there?

The sound of a door opening could be heard, and then it quickly closed. The koreans had no idea who it was, au what happened.

After entering the base, the man all dressed in black took off his mask. The mask revealed to be none other than Bond. James Bond.

He looked around the hallway he was in with great care. What he was looking for was...

”GOLDENEYE” (1995) Review

What can I say about 1995’s ”GOLDENEYE”? For one, it marked a series of firsts for the Bond franchise. The movie happened to be Pierce Brosnan’s first outing as James Bond. ”GOLDENEYE” turned out to be Dame Judi Dench’s first time portraying Bond’s MI-6 boss, “M”. And the movie also proved to be a first Bond film for director Martin Campbell, who will return eleven years later to direct 2006’s ”CASINO ROYALE”.

After 1989’s ”LICENSE TO KILL”, I found myself frustrated kwa talk that it was time for EON Productions to give up on Timothy...
