"Robert Brown's M is also disliked for stooping to a new low by acting as the Hero Antagonist who purposely hinders Bond's progress to stop the Big Bad just for being a Rogue Agent and showing No Sympathy towards Leiter getting crippled and his wife getting murdered in this 007 film in contrast to his prior appearances and the other Ms as well, which would lead to the recasting of M in the next Bond film."
