He appeared in two episodes as Virgil Swann. One of his appearances was in the show's sekunde season, while the other appearance was in the third season. Christopher Reeve appeared with the character that played Clark Kent in Smallville, Tom Welling, in a short video promoting Christopher Reeve's foundation.
Aftermath: 2006's Superman Returns served as a comeback and tribute to Christopher Reeve's era of Superman. Brandon Routh was hired to play a version of Superman that would resemble and pay respect to Christopher Reeve. After Superman Returns underperformed, there have been attempts to make the Superman character dark. This led to lots of mixed reception, especially from passionate Superman fans. No matter how many times Superman gets rebooted, nobody can deny that Christopher Reeve left an irreplaceable, important impact on the Superman franchise.
