Jurassic World: Countdown to Indominus Rex vs Tyrannosaurus Rex!
Exploring the area between movie geek and film nerd.
The park is open at Jurassic World, but you might want to hold off on booking your ticket to Isla Nublar until they sort out this Indominus Rex business. A new trailer for Jurassic World sheds some more light on the new hybrid dinosaur - quite literally, in fact, since it definitely offers up the best look we\'ve had at Indominus Rex so far.
The Jurassic World trailer dives right in, after the obligatory Mosasaurus splash, to focus on Indominus Rex - showing the enclosure that they have set up for the new attraction and revealing that there were in fact two Indominus Rex created by InGen and that one sibling killed the other. It really is the Cain and Abel story of genetically modified hybrid dinosaurs.
The new trailer definitely reinforces the idea that this new dinosaur they\'ve created has turned out to be primarily interested in asserting its dominance in this world Masrani and InGen have created around it. That starts with its sibling and then, of course, breaking out of its enclosure to become the Alpha of the rest of the park.
this high-tech security system that Masrani and InGen have set up around Jurassic World is going to end up being their downfall, not to dissimilar to how a powerful storm knocked out the fences in the original
Jurassic Park. It looks a lot like the invisible fences that Jurassic World has set up to keep the dinosaurs separate from the public will end up collapsing and this is when all hell breaks loose and Indominus Rex will have the run of the island.
Chris Pratt senses the inevitable in Jurassic World
Jurassic World is definitely showing us how the best high tech gadgetry in the world can\'t stop a prehistoric beast on the hunt. It seems even tracking devices, invisible fences and an elaborate security center can\'t prevent Indominus Rex from sneaking up behind you and tossing you into his jaws like a piece of popcorn.
The failure of the security system must be how the Pteranodons end up being able to swoop down on the panicked public and carry off some poor lady. Though, I must admit, I still get a chuckle when I see that happen. There\'s a great shot of Indominus Rex having found its way into the Pteranodon enclosure and giving a nice big smile for the camera.
Indominus Rex may be hunting for sport, as Chris Pratt\'s Owen Grady says, but there\'s a definite sense from these trailers that this is a sport that has a biological purpose for Indominus Rex. She\'ll kill anything that moves, sure, but the dinosaur is cutting a clear path somewhere.
We\'re seeing Indominus Rex cutting a path through areas like the "Gentle Giants Petting Zoo" and the Stegosaurus and Triceratops of the Gyrosphere attraction - where the brothers in peril find themselves when the park goes haywire. Indominus Rex isn\'t killing for food or fun, it\'s putting the dominance in Indominus.

It\'s pretty obvious that the only real contender to Indominus\' challenge for the throne of Jurassic World is Tyrannosaurus Rex. And with all the roaring that\'s happeneing on Isla Nublar, these two are making their intentions pretty clear to one another. It\'s sure to be an epic showdown between these two and one of the highlights of the movie.
