Jurassic World 2 Will Be A 'Spanish Horror Thriller With Dinosaurs'

promised plenty of nostalgia for fans of the Steven Spielberg original, the update certainly lacked some substantial characters to root for. However,  Colin Trevorrow who has been heavily involved in writing the sequel has said that the follow-up will be even better than the 2015 installment he directed. 

Speaking on the HappySadConfused podcast, Trevorrow explained that

director J.A. Bayona was a very different style to himself but that the new film would have greater character development and be like a "Spanish horror thriller with dinosaurs."

"Bayona is a completely different kind of filmmaker and thinker than I am, yet we do have a lot of things in common. I was able to craft something specifically for another filmmaker that I admire. I built a Spanish horror thriller with dinosaurs in it that I probably wouldn\'t have built for myself.

I think that it\'s gonna be a better movie. I just do. It\'s just deeper, it\'s more character-based, it definitely leans into suspense especially in the second half."

will see the return of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, although here\'s hoping that someone\'s given her some flat shoes to run in this time.

Little else is known about the film\'s plot so we\'ll have to wait for another teaser.
