My experience has been that gay guys receive zaidi abuse, whereas lesbians don't seem to be as much of a lightning rod for ignorance. I'm not advocating bllending in, but there seems to be zaidi leeway in how women present themselves; that is, if they dress in a zaidi masculine fashion, no one really cares. However, if a gay gay steps slightly outside the male "norm", he'll hear about it. Where we live, my daughter's experience in high school has been that there is very little tolerance for openly gay classmates. It's such a shame.

I seen about three gay guys at my school all surrounded kwa female Marafiki while my link was only accepted kwa me and two other people. She and her girlfriend were picked on kwa both genders. And I've witnessed lots of people telling her:

"You're too pretty to be a lesbian"
"You're wasting your beauty"
"You just need a man in your life"
"I bet I can make wewe bi/straight"
"Why are wewe a lesbian? Trouble with boys?"
"Can I watch wewe and your girlfriend have sex?"

and other nonsense. It makes them so upset. I know this doesn't apply to all lesbians, but the majority, yes. :/

I want to say lesbians, but I'm not really sure.
