 Gordo, Lizzie and Miranda
Gordo, Lizzie and Miranda
From my perspective, the onyesha Lizzie McGuire is really good, as well as very well-written, too. Also, Hilary Duff is really amazing and has a naturalness when it comes to acting. She really brought Lizzie to life the way she did, and I am very proud of her, too. :)

(The way I see it, besides pretending to be someone who is fictional and sometimes different from the actor playing the character in real life, uigizaji is using the imagination one was given.)

So, with that, here are some of my inayopendelewa nukuu from some of the Lizzie McGuire episodes that I recall the best:

Kate: (along with Claire and the other cheerleaders at the pep rally in the gym) U-G-L-Y! wewe ain’t got no alibi! wewe ugly! Yeah, yeah, wewe ugly! (Lizzie looks shocked) U-G-L-Y! wewe ain’t got no alibi! wewe ugly! Yeah, yeah, wewe ugly!
2, 4, 6, 8! Who’s the girl we upendo to hate?
Lizzie, Lizzie... Bi-i-i-ig Loser! Loser! Big Loser!
~(1x01; Rumors)

**********************

Kate: What’s your email, Lizzie? lizzie@biggiantloser.com?
Gordo: Could wewe say that one zaidi time for the camera, Kate? I’m trying to cast the part of the bitter, talentless girl.
~(1x05; I’ve Got Rhythmic)

**********************

Sam: (to Lizzie) wewe really grew up in middle school. Look at all the things wewe tried. Running for Class President... rhythmic gymnastics... wewe helped save the environment... and wewe got your first job.
Lizzie: Yeah. And, Dad, I failed at all of that stuff. I mean, I got fired... I hated rhythmic gymnastics... I didn’t win the election, and I didn’t save the world.
Sam: Yeah, but wewe tried. And the only time wewe really fail, honey, is when wewe don’t try. I think you’re going to do just fine in high school — really.
~(2x24; Bye, Bye, Hillridge Junior High)

*****************

Lizzie: (to Gordo on his preferring Frank Sinatra over the muziki the other students like) Gordo, shouldn’t wewe be listening to Britney Spears?
Gordo: (in a “you-have-got-to-be-kidding-me” tone) Why?
Miranda: Because that’s what normal people listen to.
Lizzie: We don’t want people thinking that you’re weird.
~(1x12; Come Fly with Me)

*****************

Ethan: (steps in and stops bully Vince from tormenting Lizzie and Miranda one step further on the bus) Yo, Vince. Give it up.
Vince: Yeah, OK.
~(1x12; Come Fly with Me)

***************

Gordo: wewe guys are never gonna guess what came in the mail for me the other day.
Ethan: A new skateboard. Food. CDs. A cell phone. Money?
Gordo: Hmm, kind of. A credit card.
~(2x32; The Gordo Shuffle)

********************

Gordo: I would rather impress the ladies with what’s in my mind, than what’s in my wallet.
Ethan: (after thinking over Gordo’s words) That’s deep.
~(2x32; The Gordo Shuffle)

********************

Lizzie: So, what’d your parents say?
Gordo: wewe mean after they yelled at the credit card company?
Lizzie: (a little surprised) They yelled at the credit card company, and they didn’t yell at you?
Toon Lizzie: (puzzled) That makes no sense. Why can’t my parents be like that?
Gordo: See, they — they knew that I wouldn’t actually ask for a credit card. So they were pretty mad when some company just sent me one.
Lizzie: And how are wewe going to pay it off?
Gordo: Yeah, well, pretty much Lost my allowance for the rest of my life. So, from now on, there’s no zaidi food, no entertainment, no anything.
Lizzie: Sounds fun.
Gordo: Yep. Guess it’ll just be wewe and me, hanging out, doing nothing.
Lizzie: Ugh — torture.
Toon Lizzie: Actually, that’s not so bad.
~(2x32; The Gordo Shuffle)

**************************

Miranda: (sarcastically) Great, a pop quiz.
Gordo: (sincerely and excitedly) Great, a pop quiz! I upendo the smell of pop chemsha bongo in the morning.
Angel Lieberman: What planet are wewe from again, Gor-dork?
~(1x11; Bad Girl McGuire)

**********************

Angel: (walks up to Lizzie) Hey, Frizz. Did wewe get the majibu for the test from Gor-dork?
Lizzie: OK. A: My name is Lizzie, not ‘Frizz’. (Angel looks partly puzzled and partly surprised at hearing that) B: Gordo’s no dork. He’s one of my best friends. And C: I don’t cheat.
~(1x11; Bad Girl McGuire)

**********************

Officer: Matt McGuire?
Matt: (in a James Bond accent) No. No Matt McGuire here. (Raising an eyebrow, the officer and his partner walk over to where Matt is sitting on the counter)
Officer: (looks down at his notes) ‘Bond, Matt Bond’? (He looks at his partner, who shakes her head)
Matt: (sighs) I guess the jig is up.
~(1x15; Lizzie’s Nightmares)

**********************

Gordo: So, did Matt get in beaucoup trouble?
Lizzie: Total. Grounded for a month, no TV and no phone. And the best part is, he’s got to keep a solid ten feet away from me at all times.
Miranda: Yeah, but meanwhile, everyone at school is still talking about him.
Gordo: Yep, nothing says “cool” like getting arrested — especially at school.
~(1x15; Lizzie’s Nightmares)

**********************

Lizzie: Hey, I thought wewe were gonna be at the dance.
Gordo: Well, my best friend wasn’t gonna be there. So, why would I wanna go?
~(2x13; You’re a Good Man, Lizzie McGuire)

*********************

Lizzie: Aren’t wewe guys supposed to be at the dance?
Ethan: Oh, Lizzie, Lizzie, Lizzie. Since wewe couldn’t come to the party, the party’s coming to you.
Lizzie: I don’t know what to say.
Ethan: wewe don’t got to say anything. Just onyesha me where the stereo is, and I’ll crank some tunes.
~(2x13; You’re a Good Man, Lizzie McGuire)

*********************

Kate: (to her mom on the phone about what her cousin Amy had done) Mom, they pushed me into my own cake. They didn’t even sing ‘Happy Birthday.’ No, she used my birthday party to invite all of her friends.
~(2x18; Party Over Here)

*********************

Lizzie: (angrily, to Kate) Whatever. Happy Birthday. I’m out. (She turns to leave, but stops at hearing a crash from the living room and looks back at Kate, who walks over to the kitanda and sits on it; Lizzie goes and sits inayofuata to her, while her voice turns calm) Kate... is this the party wewe wanted?
Kate: (shakes her head a little) I wanted a few Marafiki for movies. But my mom alisema I should have a grown-up party, and then she left town. So, I’m stuck here with a hundred of my cousin’s closest friends.
~(2x18; Party Over Here)

*********************

Jo: (angrily) What were wewe thinking, Matt?!
Matt: (now frustrated) OK, I cave! wewe see, we were at the bus stop, and the bus left without us, and we were running, running, running! I wanted to do the responsible thing — and I did, I did! Is it my fault that the penny told me to take the rest of the siku off? Is it, is it?
Jo: (now stern) Matt, the responsible thing would be to have called us — not to go gallivanting all over town! wewe should know better!
~(2x19; She Said, He Said, She Said)

*********************

Miranda: (after she and Gordo come into the back yard) Hey, how are wewe doin’?
Lizzie: Oh, not bad. My parents kept pulling the ‘Any guy would be lucky to go out with you’ thing, so..
Gordo: Want to go to the dance anyway?
Lizzie: Nah. I don’t have a date.
Miranda: Neither do I. Well, I thought of someone I would ask, but, turns out, Brad Pitt’s married.
Gordo: And as expected, poor old Gordo got zero invites. The big goose, bata bukini egg. Good morning, good afternoon, and good night. (sighs)
Lizzie: So, um.. dance with me.

 Then and Now
Then and Now
I like the episode Dear Lizzie; it’s really cool, as it has the concept of the advice column in it. Plus, from my perspective, advice columns are pretty neat, too. :)

“Dear Lizzie,
My little sister is incredibly annoying. She goes through all my stuff, she listens in on my phone calls and is a total pain. But my parents think she’s totally adorable. What do I do?
Signed, I Want To Be An Only Child.”

That barua pepe was a pretty great start for Lizzie’s advice column, and her advice — suggesting that Parker get a lock for her room and look for an out-of-state college — sounded pretty neat,...
