how come Son, Ben and Lepidus didn't go back in time??

I kinda felt like some of the characters who were on the sekunde flight were in different roles than they were in the first flight. For instance the first flight Kate was a prisoner, but the sekunde flight the prisoner was Sayid. Locke had the role of Jacks dad the sekunde time around. Ben had a busted arm, perhaps taking Lockes place. While im not sure exactly how Sun would fit into this, but I dont think she is the same woman she was when she got on the Oceanic flight. Maybe its like being rotated out in her case. Lepidus I think didnt go back because he wasnt on the first flight. Im sure wewe could ngumi, punch some holes into this theory though. I guess what I mean to say is the people who managed to go back in time, were filling the place of a specific role of either themselves, au someone else from the first flight.

Well there are lots of theories behind this one is that as they had to recreate the original flight as best as possible. wewe see Ben and Frank weren't on the original flight so they didnt teleport. Locke was alive. Sun was with Jin.

the same reason the Lost writers do anything, to piss us off and make the onyesha go on longer. heaven forbid anything go right for once and sun and jin just get to be together!

i think some how they go back in time with the other guys. but what really happened to jin. is he hurt au what? they find their way back somehow so way

My step-dad's theory is as goes: To get back to the island they had to recreate as best possible the first flight scenario and had to return being the way they were when they left. Lepidus wasn't on the first flight. Ben was exiled from the island when he turned the wheel. (As was Locke, if that's come to mind). Sun was pregnant when she left the island.

Eh, perfect, no? Best I've heard? Yeah.

I believe it is because Locke never went to see lapidus, Sun au Ben and didn't ask for any of them to come back unlike all the others who he tried to persuade. So i believe it is because they did not get asked to comeback from our very important character Locke, au maybe in the end it's just completely bila mpangilio but i like my first theory better :D

In my opinion Ben and Lapidus didn't got back in time because they had to recreate the original flight and since they weren't in there it didn't make sense for them to go back in time..
Sun's case it's a little different, I agree with DEANO.. I think she didn't got back in time because Locke didn't look for her, and that was one of the requirements to go back and find the other losties that had stayed on the island!!
I also feel that she would be the one to resolve this time travel issue and bring the rest of the losties to the present!! I think this is her main goal in this season..
