As of right now, this is my best guess.
Ben has proven himself to be a liar and at times even heartless, misleading people yo get what he wants and seeming to put very little value on human life.
Widmore is pretty much only guilty of not wanted Desmond and Penny together (for shame!)
But who really knows?

ben is not evil! he's one of the good guys. We dont know enough about widmore to judge whether he is evil or not, we only know what ben has said which is obviously biased, but out of the two i would say widmore

you've got to be kidding, Ben is not good, he is evil, just cause he seems to love or loved Alex, doesn't make him good, just cause his dad was awful to him & you feel sorry for him doesn't give him a pass for all the future things he will do. someone's actions & the amount of compassion he has is what you judge that on and from everything he's done & the heartlessness he does it with, clearly shows he's evil, just because someone is smiling in your face, doesn't mean that they won't put a knife in your back when you turn around, that's for sure!

I picked Ben, cause I know what he's done, no matter the reason, he's still has done what he's done, period. All that we know of Charles, yes, we know he's been looking for the island, but why, he sent people there to kill Ben, but why, I don't like that he sent them & from what I've gathered they weren't suppose to rescue losties & he's tried to keep Desmond & Penny apart but Ben has just shown nothing but evil although, I know that Charles isn't innocent in all of this either but until I know more, my answer is Ben, but of course if there was a third option of both equally I would have probably picked that until I knew more.
