Lucy Hale Just Landed a Major Movie Role

Lucy Hale is putting the days of running from A in Rosewood behind her. There’s a new terror the actress is has just signed on to star in a new movie role that will have her escaping from terrifying ordeals.

star has just landed a huge part in a film. She’s starring in a new horror project titled,

the movie is about, “a college student (Hale) in Mexico who is conned into playing a supernatural version of Truth or Dare. The game doesn’t stop and follows her back home.”

, is coming from Blumhouse Productions which is the production company behind two well-received and absolutely terrifying films released earlier this year –

Needless to say, this project already sounds like it’s not going to be for the faint of heart.

The plot sounds absolutely horrifying but knowing the experience Lucy has had dealing with some horrors of her own on the hit Freeform show – this shouldn’t be too much a of a stretch for the actress.

Lucy also confirmed she’s signed on to star in the film via her Instagram feed by sharing a picture of the announcement and writing, “👻👻👻 @blumhouse @jeffwadlow.”

This is the first huge high-profile film project the actress has signed on to star in since previously announcing she’s returning back to the world of television. Lucy is set to also star in a CW dramaedy pilot titled,

It looks like the days of Aria really are behind Lucy, but we can’t wait to see her take on these new roles. We just know she’s going to be a force to be reckoned with on both the small and big screens!
