Days dragged on into weeks and Matt had proven to be the worst roommate. He was just so noisy! It was costing Mello sleep and his grades. “Why don't wewe just tell Roger things aren't working out?” Linda asked as the two ate breakfast together. “Because he doesn't have anywhere else to put him! Trust me, if he did, I wouldn't have to be stuck with him!”
“He could always sleep outside. wewe know, like the dog he is,” Linda giggled while Mello smirked. “If only it were that simple,” he sighed, “But I don't think Roger would appreciate me kicking him out into the streets. Nor would L…” The kengele rang to signal that it was time for class and as the two dumped their trays and alisema their goodbyes, they made promises to study together later.

It was late when Mello returned to his room. Matt wasn't there yet and the blond sighed of relief. Maybe he could get some sleep before he showed up. He sat his vitabu beside his kitanda and crawled underneath the covers. Though as he was getting comfortable to go to sleep, he noticed something out the window. He sat up and looked, only to see Matt climbing the gate. What the hell? Where was he going? Against his better judgment, Mello slipped on his shoes and kanzu, koti before rushing outside. “Hey, stupid!” Matt jumped and looked over from the other side of the gate. “What the fuck do wewe think wewe are doing?!” He grinned when he saw it was only Mello, “Getting some cigs.” Mello raised a brow, “You smoke?”
“Yup, sure do! wewe aren't gonna tell on me, are ya?” Mello pondered this. A part of him really wanted to but upon seeing Matt’s pleading stare, decided against it. He sighed, “No…”
“Okay, cool,” Matt was about to walk away but stopped and looked at him again, “Hey, um, wanna come with?” Mello blinked, “What?”
“Come on, I'm sure you're curious to see what downtown looks like. wewe probably didn't even get a chance to look when wewe got here.” Mello thought about this. While he was right, he didn't really think this was the best decision… “I don't know…”
“Suit yourself.” Matt began to walk away but stopped when he heard a voice call out to him and the sound of metal clanking together. He smirked when he looked over and saw Mello climbing the gate. The blond landed with a dull thunk as he landed in a mud puddle before running to catch up with the brunet. Matt laughed and continued on his way with the other boy kwa his side.
