Michael's Point of View
I'm sitting in the chair with the interview woman, waiting with her for the recording of the interview for my Thriller album. About a dakika goes kwa when the cameraman does a signal saying we're on.
"How are wewe feeling at this time with the success of Thriller? I mean the muziki business isn't exactly going gangbusters and yet you're able to sell records so well." The woman adjusted herself in her chair after her question.
I start to songesha the interview chair. "Um....Well I uh...Everytime I get a platinum album it's never taken lightly on my behalf I'm always honored. wewe know,um..I'm very happy that the public enjoys what I do and I'm gong to continue doing what I do."
"Michael why do wewe think wewe were able to kuvuka, msalaba over so well? From R&B to Pop?"
"I cant' exactly explain why it happens. It's my heart. I put my moyo in it."
"When wewe go about uandishi what happens?"
"Songs'll come at the strangest times. Like at the park or....in kitanda au something. Even if it's just a line they just come to you."
"Where do wewe think the gift comes from?"
"God." There's a bit of an awkard silence for just a second, and I'm wondering what the woman is thinking about my awali answer when she asks her inayofuata question.
"So at this age you're...24?"
"Actually I'm 30," I say with a light laugh.
"Really?"
"No I'm 24." Then we both laugh for a second, lightening the mood in the air a little. "Yeah and I'm just learning about things off the stage like friendship. I'm just learning about that."
"With people other than in onyesha business?"
"Yeah."
"With ladies?"
"Yeah. Oh yeah." My small joke makes us laugh a bit.
"Is there someone very important in your life at this point?"
I immediately see Shilo's face in my mind and smile so big I'm sure I look ridiculous.
"Yes."
Shilo's Point of View
My phone rings beside me at the pool and I answer. "Hello?"
"Hey. It's Michael."
I smile mischeviously and decide to mess with him. "Okay I know about five Michael's so you're gonna have to specify." I hear him laugh.
"The famous one," he says.
"Michael Vincent?" I hear him laugh again.
"The one with Bubbles."
"Oh Jackson! hujambo how ya doin'?"
"Doing good. You?"
"Good. I'm at the pool with Dee and Clarissa."
"Aw I'm missing wewe in a swimsuit? Worst. Day. Ever." We both laugh. "Hey I was wondering....would wewe mind being in my Thriller muziki video? We don't really have a girl that I can act with that doesn't actually try and come onto me and I'm comfortable with you."
I don't even have to think."Oh heck yes! I-I mean sure."
"Great. I'll send a limo to pick wewe up on Friday."
"That's great. Can't wait." We talk for about thrity au so dakika zaidi and we have to hang up.
After showering and getting into my PJs that night, as I lay on my bed, just before I go to sleep, I nod and say to myself,"This is a good summer."
