I always figured it was Jace's way of sarcasticly saying that wewe don't have to put up with any shit from others; like if wewe asked for oranges then wewe shouldn't have to settle for lemons, wewe know? I could be wrong, lol.

I agree with the above answer. He's saying that instead of making the best of the situation, wewe should fight until wewe get what wewe want and not settle for anything less.
