I may be judging this movie harshly but I had very high expectations for it. Everyone raved about how good it was and frankly I was just underwhelmed. The concept was fascinating but I just never really cared about any of the characters. I found Leo DiCaprio and Ellen Page flat and annoying at times. Page's character had no real purpose other than to provide an excuse for Leo's character to give exposition about his life. She did nothing but stand around and whisper to him earnestly.
Ok, starting to rant now...I'm just going to say that I was disappointed. If you like DiCaprio and Page, you'll like this movie but I just couldn't get enough from their acting to feel invested in the characters.
Tangled- 4.5/10-- Seems like everytime I watch this I like it less & less each time. =\ I Love You Phillip Morris- 9/10-- On the other hand, everytime I watch this, I love it more & more. Still makes me shed a tear. This film is both one of Jim's & Ewan's best work IMO. I highly recommend it. :)
William & Kate-
Yes, this was the Lifetime original movie. I was bored, had nothing to lose. Surprisingly, it was actually pretty good. The dude who played William; his acting was above average I thought. You can kinda tell that the girl who played Kate, she only got hired because of her looks-- she made me cringe a bit but I still made it through. And the guy who played Prince Charles made me laugh a bit. It was nice seeing how they met, especially since my parents have always been loyal fans of the royal family. There were a few cheesy moments [ex: Will's friend discussing his "sexual peak" with him ^_^] but it was still pretty good considering it was a Lifetime film. I'll give this a 6/10.
TT3D:Closer to the Edge **** Truly excellent, brilliant use of 3D and Guy Martin was the perfect choice of person to centre this documentary around, an honest and funny personality. Loved every thrilling minute of it.
