I'll vote though.

The pick, which showed up in the updates of 18,000 fans (including you), was open for a week. The forum, which was linked to in the pick, was open for a week. If anyone had stated their intentions to contribute and requested more time, it would have gone on longer. Starting your own "contest" because you didn't receive a personal invitation is ridiculous.

Being inconsiderate is ridiculous and having no other banner to choose from is ridiculous. The Katy Perry forum for her spot was open for 3 weeks before you even posted your banner and icon if it was open 1 week you wouldn't have posted so there is a double standard there!
Giving people 1 week for submissions is bull when there are millions of people and millions of spots! I know plenty of people who would have given us the chance and kept it open longer. You just wanted to have it be all about you! I wouldn't be surprised if you try to do it again!
No it didn't show up in mine nor some other people's updates. Especially since the updates happen constantly and we aren't online all the time and there are too many updates to see them all when people are in many spots! Oh and the pick/poll was started the day we posted in the forum. I saw right after you posted it!

Ah yes, my life would have been so different if I had not been able to submit a Katy Perry icon. My feelings would have been so very hurt. How would I have been able to get up in the mornings?!

When someone adds new content to a spot, it shows up in the updates of all the spot's fans. That's how updates work. If you overlooked it, that's on you.

Voting for a spot icon and banner is about making the spot look cared for and encouraging new fans to join. It's not about me - or YOU, for that matter. The spot recently became active again, and the objective was to get an updated look as soon as possible to draw in more fans who may have wandered in because of the new album. These things don't need to drag on for months. It's done.

The length of time that the Katy submissions was open was abnormal. And as a result, we have too many submissions and the votes are split, so either way, seems everyone gets fucked over.
