The Uchiha holds eye contact as well, but there is something in his dark gaze she hasn’t seen before. It’s definitely not regret, that would be foolish to even think.
Still, it surprises Sakura when she finds out what emotion it is. ’Sasuke-kun is sad’. She isn’t sure she had seen him truly sad before.
He seems to realize what she can see inside him, because now he’s looking deeper in to her zumaridi, zamaradi eyes than he has ever done before.
”Sakura. I am sorry. For everything I’ve done to you. To Naruto and the whole village. I might as well have killed wewe both, I know. I’m sorry.” His expression is as soft as his hand, coming to touch her hair, ever so lightly.
”I hate you.” She says quietly. But Sakura isn’t looking at him anymore, she is staring right down at the ground.
’I can’t possibly be feeling any emotion for that shameless bastard. No, I can’t!’ She silently tried to tell herself. Right now, she hated herself zaidi than him.
But it was in Haruno Sakura’s nature to upendo Uchiha Sasuke. It always had been, ever since the sekunde she laid eyes on the little boy. However hard she tried, there was no way in the world she could deny that.

Whether it was a mistake au not, she doesn’t know. But Sasuke doesn’t pull the kunai away from neck.
At first, she doesn’t notice anything. Sasuke screamming, ”Sakura!!” might have aliyopewa her clue, but Sakura just assumes he’s surprised of her response. Then she sees blood on the kunai he is pulling back, now.
Suddenly she feels the intense intense pain of being stabbed in the neck and the inayofuata sekunde she is laying on the floor, unconsious.
