i dont like all the hate on vance, he is not my favorite character but he aint bad, and with him it will end up giving us some really good episodes..

i dnt think people would feel bad towards him, if he hadnt replaced Jenny so simply when she died, or how he kept Gibbs in the dark about the split of his team. that situation could have been dealt differently with the team still together. vance aint that bad, but he hasnt done anything yet to impress me tho.

Jen never impressed me-I find Vance to be a lot more intrifuing character than Jen-he takes his decisions and live with consequences I think Vance is capable of making really tough decisions without being overly sentimental about it,like Jen was, and I appreciate that in a character.

jenny was the best damn director ncis ever had. she was so much better than vance could even dream of being. still i think that she knew life would have to go on after she died. sort of like the kate ziva thing. kate and jenny were loyal to their jobs literaly to the grave. they undewrstood that life still went on. even though vance is nowhere near as good as jenny was it wasn't his fault that she died. he's just doing his job. he was a total sob in the beginning but he has gotten a bit better. also jenny probably chose him as assitant director so she abviously saw something good in him. rest in peace jenny... and kate, though i haven't seen many episodes with her.

There is a BIG difference between Kate and jen't death,cotedepablo-Jen CHOSE to die the way she did-Kate was brutally murdered.And it's very convenient to forget that she didn't do her job in Paris-didn't tell anyone.She didn't tell Gibbs his life is in danger because of her mistake in Paris. She involved the team in her own personal vendettas.Morrow and Vance don't act that way.

I wish Jenny hadn't died :'( she was a great director who put her life on the the line for gibbs. Vance WISHES he could be that awesome! :PP i mostly agree with cotedepablo, i don't think Vance has gotten better (though, that could be the hate talking). I don't lyk him, never have and most lykly never will, unless he does something amazing (for lack of a better word).

I completely agree with tendre and solution- Jen didn't have the straingh to admit her mistakes in front of Gibbs.She didn't tell him his life is in danger--I don't see how this count like saving his life-if Mike was killed,Gibbs had no clue about the danger and he could've been killed .At last Jen should have told him about not doing her job in Paris-but she didn't do that .She didn't tell him about Tony's undercover job-if the team was in danger ,Tony could not help them-again,that was bad decision.Vance said the all truth to Gibbs about his personal relationship with the killer-I really appreciate that in character-Jen didn't tell Gibbs anything about her fail in Paris-I don't like that in character.
