would it have made any difference to the curse if mary margarey and david stayed together au not?

the thing is that they kissed mulitple times but the curse didnt break then. that could have something to do with that their being together was unfaithful cause of david's marriage to kathryn. my swali is is that has mary margaret's and david's being together at least help weaken the curse? it was really emma's upendo for henry that broke the curse

I dont think that them being together had any affect on the curse, except maybe , on some level, reminding them who they are and that they belong together. I dont think it was because they were unfaithful. Its just because Rumplestiltskin made it so that the product of their upendo (Emma) could break the curse, but not their upendo itself.
