From what I've seen (I haven't watched any episodes, just clips), BBC's irritates me! He made Morgana a monster, never paid for his crimes, and killed Morgana (Her and Morgause are the main reasons I'm thinking about watching this show). Once's is a little too goody, goody, but is still likeable, though kind of boring. My favorite Merlin is The Sword In The Stone version, who is fun and eccentric while also being wise.

I really love what they've done with this Merlin, he's a great actor, who portrays a lot about his character, without the need for dramatics.

TBH I saw BBC's Merlin first and I can't seem to see Merlin as anything but an awkward clumsy kid.
