They've already proven to be an unhealthy couple that aren't suited for each other. Plus they're just defending their son in the same way Belle would constantly do with Rumple by preaching when they've seen NOTHING good within him. Belle at least in the past saw some hints of good in Rumple, like when he let Robin live and didn't leave his unborn child fatherless and didn't take the Sheriff of Nottingham up on his offer for information on Robin in exchange for sex with Belle. Gideon has literally shown NO SIGN of having goodness in him that they've seen! I know he doesn't have his heart and his controlled by The Black Fairy, but THEY DON'T! Belle is just doing her many speeches of hope of and redemption that ends up reminding me of actress that played an exaggerated version of Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender in the episode Ember Island Players. Rumple is just willing to give him as many chances as he wants because of how many chances Rumple was given when he didn't deserve it. They frustrate me as a couple and them defending their son when he showed no signs of good that they had seen and kept trying to kill Emma was annoying. Rumple even threatening Emma if she killed his son even when she already gave him a chance and tried to kill her AGAIN! Once again, I know he is being controlled by The Black Fairy with his heart BUT THEY DON'T KNOW THAT!

The writers ruined Rumbelle and turned them into more of a soap opera couple. I will always be a fan of Rumbelle and happy that they still care for each other I just favor them more so in earlier seasons.
