SUCCESS ON X FACTOR
One Direction, thrown together kwa Simon Cowell, were made up from a collection of contestants who didn’t manage to make it through the boot camp stage of auditions last year.
Though they were a ‘Cowell made band’ it didn’t seem to do them much harm as they went all the way to the final.
Even though they didn’t win they managed to secure a reported £2million recording contract with Simon Cowell – not bad for coming third.
Cher Lloyd almost didn’t make it through to the live shows stage of the competition after suffering from a throat infection at the judge’s houses.
The 18-year-old from Worcestershire was regarded as the mini-me to Cheryl Cole – who took a shining to her rather un-X Factor like style and supported her all the way to the final.
Cher, a bit of a Marmite performer with the public, made it through to the finals but only managed fourth place.
Round one winner: One Direction
SHAKING OFF THE X FACTOR IDENTITY - WHO'S A CLONE
One Direction have a bit of a mountain to climb if they want to shake off their X Factor identity, especially considering they were pretty much manufactured before our eyes kwa Cowell.
The muziki mogul was their mentor on the onyesha and also signed them to his label afterwads.
They still have a cloned boyband feel to them which will take a bit of time to shake off.
Cher Lloyd managed to carve out her own style on X Factor appearing less like a clone than many of the other contestants.
The singer/rapper has already managed to have a number one single with Swagger Jagger and has worked with Lady Gaga’s muziki producer RedOne.
Cher is hardly churning out covers songs that’s for sure.
Round two winner: Cher Lloyd
SOCIAL NETWORK SUCCESS
The Swagger Jagger singer seems to have had a bit of a rough ride when it comes to social networking.
It’s certainly not uncommon for Cher to hit back at her ‘haters’ on Twitter – which can’t help but fuel the fire.
Twitter users have even attacked Cher for her number 1 single saying it sounds ‘like a Black Eyed Peas acid house remix of Little Donkey’.
Cher has a knack of rubbing social networkers up the wrong way and somehow manages to attract a lot of hate.
The boys seem to have a little zaidi success on Twitter.
With their debut single being aired on Radio 1 this week, the Twittersphere went wild as the One Direction mashabiki came out in support of the lads.
One Direction have had a large shabiki base on Twitter since they were on X Factor so it’s hardly surprising.
Round three winner: One Direction
ujumla, jumla winner: Cher might have swagger, but this week's winner is One Direction.

Former X Factor contestants One Direction, who are made up of Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan, are gearing up to release their debut single and boy are they excited about it. Some of the boys have taken time out to discuss the single.
Zayn explained, "I'm excited because it's what I've been working towards all my life and it's finally happening. We're looking mbele to the reaction, but we don't 100% know what's going to happen." While Liam added, "I think we've found the perfect song, so hopefully it all goes well and everybody loves it."
Louis then concluded, "It's a relief because we were looking for a first single for quite a long time. There's a lot of expectation. All the mashabiki know we've been busy recording, so there's a bit of pressure." The single is expected to be called ‘Everything About You’.
