6.01 || Touch Me I'm Going To Scream, Part 1

Haley: What is with wewe and naked nannies in the pool? [After Nathan catches a topless Mom Deb/Nanny Deb in the pool.]
Nathan: So how are things at the studio? Peyton pulling out of her funk yet?
Haley: Actually, Peyton was out all night, with Lucas.
Nathan: Is that right? What do wewe suppose they're doing?

Peyton: Responsible-I've-not-been-attacked-by-Psycho-Derek text message sent.
Lucas: Responsible-I-know-I've-been-dark-lately-but-everything's-ok message sent.
Peyton: Oh, it's a message from you! It says "Peyton, I upendo you, let's go get married, Lucas" Can a text message change your life?
Lucas: God, I hope so.

Victoria: wewe don't like me do you?
Millecent: No.
Victoria: Because wewe feel like I've mistreated you.
Millicent: No, because you're an evil bitch.

Gus: It's the most important thing there is. Love. Finding the right person to spend your life with.
Lucas: I know I made the right choice.
Gus: That's where it gets you. Thinking wewe had a choice. upendo finds you, Son, wewe don't find love. It's got a little bit to do with destiny, fate, what's written in the stars. A lot to do with the simple fact most women are smarter than we are. And wily. Your sorry butt never had a chance. But if wewe want to believe wewe had a choice in the matter, I'd say wewe made a good one.
Lucas: Why is that?
Gus: Because she showed up and she sure is pretty.

Lucas: So, I made chajio, chakula cha jioni reservations for tonight, if wewe want?
Peyton: Actually, I was thinking maybe we could just stay in, have a quiet dinner, kiss a while. And there is a chance that I could be rocking some slightly dirty girl lingerie underneath these jeans.
Lucas: I think I need to sit down.

Lucas: Happy Anniversary!
Peyton: Go back out!
Lucas: Why? Is the mail man here again?
Peyton: No. He just put on his pants and jumped out the window, but he did leave wewe an anniversary gift and I haven't wrapped it yet. Hi babe.
Lucas: hujambo wifey! These are for you.
Peyton: Oh!! They're beautiful! Thank you! How was your day?
Lucas: It was good. It is good. wewe know can't believe it's been a year.
Peyton: Time flies when wewe get what wewe wish for.

Brooke: Hey, handsome. These are for you, for our one mwaka anniversary!
Lucas: Um, Brooke, I'm your husband. I'm supposed to give wewe flowers.
Brooke: I know. But I wanted to make sure I'd like them.

Old man: Three simple cards, three beautiful ladies, real simple, son, all wewe gotta do is pick one.
Lucas: All right.
Old man: Just follow the heart.

6.02 || One Million Billionth of a Millisecond on a Sunday Morning

Jamie: When wewe get married, do I have to be the ring bearer again?
Lucas: Not if wewe don't want to.
Jamie: Good because last time it didn't work out so well.
• Rating: Unrated
Brooke: Congratulations!
Peyton: It's kinda sudden, right?
Brooke: Are wewe kidding? The rest of the world's been waiting on wewe two idiots since high school.
• Rating: Unrated
Peyton: hujambo best friend!
Brooke: Hey, wewe didn't come nyumbani last night?
Peyton: Oh yeah, that's cuz I'm in LA with Lucas, and we want wewe to be the first to know, we're getting married!
• Rating: Unrated
Maid at Hotel: Oh excuse me!
Peyton: It's okay we're getting married! [maid leaves] Um okay, so wewe know how wewe alisema our wedding should be a dream come true?
Lucas: Oh boy!
Peyton: Now, I know I never wanted my wedding to be princess for a siku but,I would like it if your mom was there and [cell phone ringing] It's Brooke, can I tell her?
Lucas: Sure, wewe can tell her we're coming nyumbani for the ceremony.
• Rating: Unrated
Lucas: When I was a kid I used to upendo to jump on my bed. I'd pretend I could fly. I'd pretend I could dunk. I was happy. My mom would pass the room and shout, "Lucas Scott, if wewe break that box spring, you'll be sleeping on the floor for the rest of your life."
Peyton: Well, here's the good news if wewe have to sleep on the floor, I will sleep there with you.
Lucas: For the rest of your life?
Peyton: Definitely.

Deb: Jamie I was not kissing Uncle Skills. I mean, first of all, he's your parents age and one of Uncle Lucas's best friends. It just wouldn't be right.
Jamie: I think it'd be cool
Deb: Yeah?
Jamie: Yeah... Grampa Skills!

Nathan: I scored 35 points that night and each basket was like my own personal version of a Haley James pick-up line.
Haley: It worked.
Nathan: I played that game for you, Haley and wewe know what? I'd give it up for wewe too. Because as much as I upendo playing the game and the person that I am when I play it, I upendo being a husband and a father more.

6.03 || Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly

Nathan: Having dealt with parent insanity, I just wanted to check your head and see how wewe are doing. The thing is, the two of us have been down very similar roads. I mean, we were in the same cliques. We both felt the same pressures, same expectations. Our parents were like children. And we both grew into kind bad versions of ourselves way too fast. So I think wewe know and get it.
Brooke: They never really gave us a chance did they? Our parents?
Nathan: They didn't know how. Look the thing is wewe made your dream happen, alright? And even though I didn't quite get there, when it was taken away from me, I dealt with it alone. That was stupid, selfish and wrong. So if your mom tries to take your dream away from wewe and wewe feel that same pain like I did, I've sort of been there okay? .... And I'm going to be kind of pissed off if wewe don't come talk to me about it. Thank wewe for coming today. It means a lot. I know wewe didn't know quentin, but....... it doesn't surprise me that you're thinking about other people when all this stuff is going on with you. That's not bad for a girl who never had a chance. Come here.

Haley: Because this is a literature class. When archaeologists uncover Lost civilizations and they unearth their worlds that have long been since been destroyed, wewe know what they find most often? They find stories, ancient languages, words, inscriptions from people who have been gone for thousand of years, because chances are, like you, they wanted to know, "Whats the point?" And they wanted us to know that they were here, wewe know? Like they told their stories, and they tried to make sense of their lives and their worlds and their tragedies. So that's what we are gonna do. So I want wewe to write something, anything at all, about Quentin Fields. If wewe knew him, write a inayopendelewa memory. If wewe didn't know him, write what wewe think the point is of all this for yourself and your life and your time here. This is a literature class and that's what writers do. We put pen to paper in times of devastating tragedy. And we try and make sense of it. Maybe we will find some clarity in some of those words. Maybe we will find peace.

Haley: [in class] wewe know what? Um... wewe guys asked me what the point was to all of this, school, literature... life. And, uh I alisema there was no point. And that's not true. What I should have alisema was, "I don't know". Because the truth is, not long ago, I sat where wewe are and wondered exactly the same things. When something that's tragic and evil and unexplainable happens, like losing someone forever... I still wonder, just like wewe do. Alright, everybody, get out a piece of paper and pen.

Denise: I wanted to thank wewe for standing up for my boy the way wewe did in that last game. It's a shame that we have to meet like this.
Lucas: Yes, ma'am, it is.
Denise: Coach Taylor, Quentin always had so many nice things to say about you. And wewe too, Nathan. I really appreciate wewe boys coming here. But I mostly wanted to say thank wewe to this one. My son has always loved mpira wa kikapu but the siku I can tell you, the siku I came nyumbani and found him kusoma a book, it about gave me a moyo attack. He said, "Mommy, Mrs. James-Scott, she don't play. She almost as bad as wewe are." I realize that wewe are all trying to help him live up to the greatness God gave him and wewe should be proud of that.
Haley: Your strength is inspiring.
Denise: My strength is from Jesus Christ. I am going to miss my baby boy for the rest of this life but I know we are going to see him again and our faith will see us through.

Brooke: 1 out of every 500 people gets assaulted au raped. There were over 30,000 aggravated assaults in our state alone last year. 7,000 robberies, 3,000 murders, 600 rapes. It's official, life sucks and then wewe die.

Lucas: Quentin, uh... was a great kid. He was the leader of this team and I know that he was your friend. I wish... I could take this pain away, but I can't and I'm sorry.
Skills: It's okay to feel angry. It's okay to feel the pain. It's even okay to hate the person that did this, but when that anger and that pain and that hate becomes too much for you, wewe come see me, Nate au Luke. Understand? We are your family, and we gonna get through this together.
Nathan: wewe guys know that Q was working out with me, helping me with my game. And that's how I am gonna remember him......strong, happy, playing the game he loved. I want wewe all to find your own best memories of Q and hold onto them. 'cause that's where he still lives, and he always will.

Samantha: [Voice over] Did wewe ever wonder what it would be like if wewe weren't wewe anymore? If wewe were suddenly gone, how would your world react? Whatever wewe imagined is wrong. There's nothing romantic about death. Grief is like the Ocean. It's deep and Dark and bigger than all of us. And pain is like a thief in the night. Quiet. Persistent. Unfair. Diminished kwa time and faith and love. I didn't know Quentin Fields but I'm jealous of him because I see how his absence has affected the people that did know him so I know that he did matter to them. And I know he was loved. People say Quentin Fields was a great mpira wa kikapu player. Graceful. Fluid. Inspiring. They say on a good night it almost seemed as though he could fly. And now he can.

6.04 || Bridge Over Troubled Water

Brooke: Congratulations, Victoria, now wewe have a company and no daughter. wewe got your dream.

Jamie: Is it because she was kissing Uncle Skills?
Nathan: wewe knew about that?
Jamie: Yeah, they tried to pretend he was getting something out of her eye but they were just being mushy.
Nathan: And how does it feel to be scarred for life?
Jamie: Fine. I like Nanny Deb and I like Uncle Skills so what if they like each other?
Nathan: It's a little zaidi complicated than that. Nanny Deb is also my mom.
Jamie:Yeah, but I let wewe kiss my mom.
Nathan: Eat your soup.

Lucas: And the way I see it, Skills would be a better father than Dan ever was.

Lucas: It's funny, wewe know all these years we called him Skills, I always thought it had something to do with basketball.
Nathan: That's not funny.
Lucas: Kinda funny.

6.05 || You've Dug Your Own Grave, Now Lie In It

Lucas: I never meant to hurt you. Not then and not now.
Lindsey: I know. the thing is, I saw it coming all along. I just tried to wish it away. It wasn't fair to me au to you.
Lucas: Well, I should go, I'm gonna miss my flight.
Lindsey: Okay. wewe forgot something. [hands the novel Comet to him]. wewe know the first time we met right here. I told wewe I was pulling for the couple in the book. Goodbye Lucas.

Psychologist: Brooke, you're 22 years old and the founder of a multi-million dollar corporation. I'd hardly call that standing still.
Brooke: But it's gone.
Psychologist: wewe will do something else. wewe are intelligent, wewe are creative. wewe will figure it out. But that's not the real question.
Brooke: Then what is?
Psychologist: All wewe have talked about is your work, Brooke. But when wewe mention your Marafiki being happy, wewe define happiness strictly in terms of relationship and family. The swali is, why are wewe so insistent on going through life alone?

Brooke: Well, it doesn't matter, I don't have to worry about Clothes Over Bros anymore.
Psychologist: And why is that?
Brooke: I gave it all away. I signed the company over to Victoria. Do wewe think that I was foolish to give my company to my mother?
Psychologist: Do wewe think wewe were foolish?
Brooke: Do wewe always answer a swali with another question?
Psychologist: Does it bother you?

Brooke: I caught a young girl shoplifting the other day. I was pretty hard on her.
Psychologist: Did wewe feel threatened kwa her?
Brooke: No, I actually felt myself feeling jealous. I realize I let company matter too much. wewe know, we spend all this time building something up, And then we don't enjoy it. We just sit there, terrified that someone is gonna take it away from us. And there was this girl, and she didn't answer to anything au anyone. And that made me jealous.

6.06 || Choosing My Own Way of Life

Lucas: Hello?
Peyton: Hi... How's my inayopendelewa author?
Lucas: Just thinking about his fiancee.
Peyton: Oh, well, should I give wewe 5 minutes?
Lucas: No, it's okay. Actually, I'm just packing.
Peyton: For Seattle?
Lucas: No, actually I'm going home, the book tour has been canceled.
Peyton: What? What happened?
Lucas: It's okay, it doesn't matter.
Peyton: No, it does matter, wewe worked so hard for this!
Lucas: It's okay Peyton! I mean, I still have wewe and that's all that really matters! Besides, this book brought us back together so... it's the best thing I've ever written.
Peyton: wewe come nyumbani to me then. I upendo you.
Lucas: I upendo wewe too. I'll be nyumbani soon.

Peyton: Don't forget me when you're a big nyota Lucas Scott.

Lucas: Why do wewe think he's avoiding admitting that he's your father?
Peyton: I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, maybe he's not. Either way- I will be alright, don't worry about me!
Lucas: wewe know I will.

6.07 || Messin' With The Kid

Mouth: Did I mention I have a girlfriend?
Gigi: Cool. I do too. Sometimes.

Haley: I'm sorry.
Nathan: Aww, are wewe kidding me? My girl is a badass. That's hot.

Nathan: What happened to walking away?
Haley: I know, but wewe didn't see her! She was such a bitch!
Nathan: Sounds like wewe made that pretty clear.
Haley: Jamie's been through so much lately. The last thing he needs is some bully picking on him.
Nathan: He'll be fine. He's a tough kid. But wewe know what? I'll... I'll take care of it. In the mean time, just try not to kill anybody. Okay, slugger?
Haley: What are wewe gonna do?
Nathan: I'm gonna call his mom a bitch, kahaba and then push her!

Chuck: It's a bird! It's a plane! It's super-baby! Aw, are wewe sad? Are wewe gonna go fly nyumbani to your mommy?
Jamie: No, I'm gonna walk away.

Jamie: I hate school.
Dan: School was never my strong suit either. It's good we're both handsome.

Peyton: I'm so sorry! I'm only laughing because of how angry wewe got. I mean I've never heard anyone yell at 'it' before. (starts laughing) Ohh... honey, it's no big deal, doesn't it happen to every guy at some point?
Lucas: And it wouldn't have happened at all if we weren't in my moms bed! This is your fault.
Peyton: Well! wewe have never complained before.
Lucas: I'm talking about your obsession with this stupid magazine!
Peyton: Oh, my god, the magazine has been dead on. It has predicted pretty much everything... I just wished wewe would
have warned me about this.

Peyton: I don't even know who wewe are right now.
Lucas: Come on, Peyton, I'm just trying to be honest with you. I mean, there's got to be things I like but wewe don't, right?
Peyton: Yeah, okay, now that wewe mention it - your tattoo!
Lucas: What about it?
Peyton: First off, it does not mean what wewe think it does cause I looked it up. Second: Brooke has a very similar tattoo near her lady business. Now, if you'll excuse me. I'm gonna take my Cure albums where they'll be appreciated.
Lucas: Like the trash?
Peyton: wewe see, we're totally different. Just like the makala says.
Lucas: (looks at B. Davis magazine) Thanks a lot, Brooke!

Lucas: So where should we start?
Peyton: Well, that's easy. I never feel at nyumbani until I unpack my music. wewe know, maybe we don't need to. We probably have doubles of everything, right?
Lucas: Actually I don't like The Cure.
Peyton: How can wewe not like The Cure?
Lucas: Well, their music's depressing and whiney...
Peyton: And if it could squint, it would be you. wewe do realize that the lyrics I spent all siku painting at the River Court were The Cure lyrics, right?
Lucas: Oh I know, and I upendo the lyrics. Hate the music.

6.18 || Searching for a Former Clarity

Dan: You're my sons and I failed you. I'm sorry for that, for so many other things, but I'm proud that each of wewe have become the kind of man I could never be. You're good men and you're good brothers. Don't let the world change that.

6.23 || Forever And Almost Always

Julian: My father always made me feel like I wasn't good enough. Any time I had any success he would remind me of my failures. I see that in Brooke. She's so talented and good-hearted and beautiful, but she carries around this feeling that she's not good enough. And she has wewe to thank wewe for that. Good work.
Victoria: Are wewe finished?
Julian: No, not yet. I upendo your daughter. I'm in upendo with her. And one of these days she's gonna upendo me back and when she does I want wewe to understand something: you're either gonna learn to be nice to her, au you're not gonna be in her life. Nice to meet wewe Victoria. Feels like I've known wewe all my life.

Julian: Hi. I saw the light on I thought maybe Brooke was here. I'm Julian.
Victoria: Of course wewe are. Victoria Davis.
Julian: Of course wewe are. Would wewe ask Brooke to call me please?
Victoria: wewe do realize the name of the company is Clothes Over Bros, yes?

Lucas: Peyton, I've loved wewe since the first time i saw you. And this ring and these words are just simply a way to onyesha the rest of the world what has been in my moyo for as long as I've known you. I upendo you, Peyton Elizabeth Sawyer. I always have and I always will.
Peyton: Lucas Scott. We've been through so much together. And despite how confused I've been au Lost I might have gotten there was always you. Finding me and saving me. wewe deserve to be adored so that's what we're gonna do, your baby and me. We are going to adore wewe for years to come. I am so terribly in upendo with you. And I always will be.

Haley: I believe in true love. I believe in upendo at first sight. I believe upendo conquers all. And that doesn't mean there's not gonna be hard days au difficult things to deal with, because there will be. But finding that person who does it for wewe and knowing that person loves wewe back it just makes everything so much easier. "Peyton Sawyer will become Peyton Scott." That was the dream. And here we are 10 years later and we all get to witness today a dream come true.

Lucas: Sometimes when wewe look back at your life certain moments stand out: the siku wewe graduated high school, your wedding day, the siku wewe found out wewe were going to be a father. Most of the time they happen in that order. Most of the time.

6.24 || Remember Me As A Time Of Day

[ending voiceover]
Mouth: Take a look at yourself in a mirror who do wewe see looking back?
Haley: Is it the person wewe want to be?
Dan: au is there someone else wewe were meant to be the person wewe were meant to be but fell short of?
Mia: Is someone telling wewe wewe can't au won't? Because wewe can.
Chase: Believe that upendo is out there.
Nathan: Believe that dreams come true every day. Because they do.
Peyton: Sometimes happiness doesn't come from money au fame au power. Sometimes happiness comes from good Marafiki and family and the quiet nobility of leading a good life.
Julian: Believe that dreams come true every day. Because they do.
Brooke: Believe that dreams come true every day. Because they do.
Peyton: So take a look in that mirror and remind yourself to be happy because wewe deserve to be. Believe that.
Lucas: And believe that dreams come true every day. Because they do.

Brooke: wewe told me that someday I'd be ready to let someone in. I think today might be someday.
Julian: If this was a movie, you'd kiss me right now.
Brooke: No, I'd say I upendo you, and then I'd kiss you. I upendo you.

Brooke: So how's it feel P.Sawyer? wewe have a family now. wewe have this whole other life to look after.
Peyton: It feels just like I dreamed it would.
Brooke: Can I hold her?
Peyton: Yeah!
Brooke: Hi Sawyer, I'm your Aunt Brooke, and I'm going to spoil you! Yes I am Sawyer Scott!
Peyton: Sawyer Brooke Scott.
Brooke: Really?
Peyton: Yeah.

Nathan: Jamie sports is up next.
Jamie: What's the big deal? I got wifi on my phone.
Haley: Get over here and watch with us.
Mouth on TV: Last night in the NBA the charlotte Bobcats quietly made a songesha that most sports mashabiki wouldn't have noticed, adding a point guard to their roster for the rest of the season. But we're leading with that story because this point guard is a local legend who overcame adversity and difficult circumstances in pursuit of a dream. Last night the charlotte Bobcats called up a former mti kilima Raven, a great guy and a good friend Nathan Scott. Jamie Scott hug your dad for all of us because he just made it to the NBA and we couldn't be zaidi proud!
Jamie: I knew wewe could do it!

Nathan: I was thinking we could take a trip to Charlotte, wewe could wear that dress, we could take Jamie.
Haley: Nathan, what happened?
Nathan: I'm not on the Chiefs anymore.
Haley: Oh babe, I'm sorry.
Nathan: It's okay, what do wewe say Haley James? Want to take the boy to charlotte and maybe we could see a mpira wa kikapu game? I kind of have to be there anyway, seeing as I'm the Bobcats' new point guard.
Haley: What?
Nathan: I'm the point guard for the charlotte Bobcats. I got called up.
Haley: You're in the NBA? :[crying]
Nathan: I'm in the NBA. Thank you. Thank wewe for believing in me.
Haley: Thank wewe for being worth it.

Lucas: wewe know, I'm in a little...I'm in a little over my head here. I took her nyumbani and I'm doing what I can, but she needs here Mom. I need here Mom. She doesn't even have a name. We were supposed to do that together. I can't do this without you. And I'm just afraid that I'm gonna lose wewe and it's just gonna be the two of us. And she doesn't even have a name.
Peyton: Sawyer. Okay? Sawyer's her name.
Lucas: Sawyer Scott, okay. God wewe scared me.
