I have landed some huge scoop this week as we’ve confirmed that Julie Anne Robinson is circling Dimension Films’ to direct the classic 1988 cocktail remake which starred Tom Cruise. Based on what I’ve heard from various people who have pitched their version of Cocktail, the Weinsteins are looking for someone to make the remake fitted for “teens”, thus making the director of The Last Song perfect for the gig. This leads beautifully into the news that the company hopes (nothing is signed) to land ‘One mti Hill’ stars Robert Buckley (Flirty with Forty) and Shantel VanSanten (The Final Destination, wewe and I) in the lead roles of Brian and Jorden. A decision should be made kwa December which is what the studios want. The producers and director are hoping things work out with them, it was their work together on ‘One mti Hill’ that got them recognize for the film. Principle upigaji picha is slated to begin around January 2011. If the duo accepts the roles than their screen-time on the hit drama onyesha will be decreased tremendously even to the point where they will miss episodes during the sekunde half of the season due to filming the feature length film.
The plot will be similar to the original where Brian(Robert Buckley) is a talented and ambitious bartender who aspires to working in business and finds upendo with a college student named Jorden(Shantel VanSanten). The difference that it will take place in Cancun and not Jamaica.
SEAN maharage, maharagwe is also being considered for the role of Doug Coughlin, Brain’s close friend and mentor.

Chad Michael Murray was in a meza, jedwali read yesterday for the film Paper Wings, a movie being produced kwa Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment. Other stars in the meza, jedwali read, at Hollywood restaurant Saddle Ranch were Anna Kendrick, Milo Ventimiglia, Chad Michael Murray, Eric Dane, and Johnny Galecki of “The Big Bang Theory,” along with Tom Cruise.
Our source, who is familiar with the project, explained that they “chose the Saddle Ranch for the meza, jedwali read because the story of the film involves a ng'ombe rider and a country singer.”
It should be noted, though, that while those actors were at the reading, they haven’t yet officially signed on to the film.
