Brooke found out Rach was a druggie, she had to give away for the surgey, then she had to give back Angie =(, learned that Lucas proposed to Peyton (which I know she seems fine with but lets face it Luke was the love of her life (so far), and even though he belongs with Peyton it must still hurt her!), had to deal with Victoria, had the "break up"ish with Owen, hadto say goodbye to Mouth and Millie, and now she's been attacked!! it's definitly Brooke.

woah rant. O_O sorry! I just hate how everyone always over-looks Brooke for Peyton. (who ALWAYS whines and cries! don't get me wrong i'm happy that she's happy now but geez!!)

and luke (over peyton), and hales (over nate/carrie). Brooke was numb and angry after the attack/her mom drama. She doesn't have heartache; she made that clear in therapy. Her tears in 603 were devastation over the attack and she finally let herself react. but before and after her tears, she's been numb...

I completely agree with CatarinaSantos. Brooke has dealt with so many issues of losing people. Peyton only had to deal with Lucas being with someone else and now she's with him so Definitely Brooke

Okay I was looking at heart ache as in like love wiseor whatever and I picked Peyton, but yea if we're just talking like issue wise then Haley. She and her husband almost got a divorce, her son was kidnapped, her student died, and now she's about to be attacked by a crazy psycho....or maybe Nathan I mean most of that happend to him to and he got his dream snatched out from under him so idk it's a tie between them for me.

I don't doubt that brooke's been through the most this season (which totally trumps peyton's heartache in s5), but that's not what the question's asking. Heartache involves love - hence the word heartache. Anger, numbness, devastation, and now acceptance, have cradled brooke as an aftermath of the attack. Need I say more?

Seyton fans are biased shits! Make my blood boil, Peyton has not been through that much! You only feel that way because while Seyton goes to everyone all the time complaining and letting the world know about her pain, Brooke suffers silently. How many times have you seen her pretend to be ok but when no one looking she cry? Seyton cry all the time with people without people doesn't matter! Seyton ex boyfriend loves someone else in season 5, she could have said yes. You know they are not true love Brooke is the successful one and she would give up her career in flash to spend forever with Lucas. Now boohoo Seyton pining away for Lucas while he is with another better girl all season. Brooke could do same when her supposed best friend smacked her boyfriend on lips twice instead she cried for an episode and got back up to her life! Team Brooke!

Its always been the same for Peyton...She only had one heartache and that was because of Lucas, which if you think about it was actually all her fault because she said "somdeday" God Damn tha someday it ruined S5 for me.
Alot happened to Brooke; getting Angie, going through her surgery, letting go of Angie, finding out her mother is only interested in her clothing line, getting attacked, then dealing with it all alone and finding out that her parents never wanted her to be born...but one thing I love about Brooke is that unlike Peyton she actually fought through all of this and dealt with everything and became stronger.

hahhaha saBRUCAS!! yeah i agreeeeee, that "someday" was just...dumb. i seriously think it was mark's way of prolonging their love to make it epic. no offense LP fans, but i think the "someday" was absolutely unnecessary!

Which is why I love Brooke, she's so amazing I wish sometimes that she would let other people help her, which is why I was so glad Lucas was there at the airport and that she could turn to Peyton after firing her mother, but what sucks to me is that everyone once again ignores the plights of everyone else on the show in order to turn this into a Brooke vs Peyton debate. I mean seriously Haley went through sooo much this season 2 and I think I'm just about the only person to even vote that way. I don't need flak from you guys. Brooke loved angie, but only knew the babe for some episodes. Luke and Peyton have 7 years behind them. The question isn't about how much a character has been through but how much heartache. Peyton had heartache (not teen drama trivial superficial fleeting emotions; but genuine heartbreak/heartache over the love of her life who was slipping away before her eyes). from 501 straight through to the end of the season. Brooke went through a lot as well - probably more - given her mother - but again this is not what the question is asking! brooke already knew her mom was an ice queen - hence the firing of Victoria (yay for brooke). I'm not saying it didn't hurt brooke (especially when she tried to open up to her mom the one time in s5 and got shot down). I'm just counting the number of episodes that each of them went through genuine heartache. At least brooke had good times (before and after she had to put up with her mom): good times with Angie; good times with her loved ones. Peyton was miserable most of the time pining after luke (even when she had friend time, you could see the pain in her eyes despite her desperate efforts to conceal her broken heart - she made me misty eyed in 508 (that's not to say that's why I picked Peyton ok??). In virtually every episode, peyton had heartache; even brucas fans acknowledged it - in annoyance. I won't take away from brooke heartache with her mom & angie. Her heartache just simply wasn't as prolonged/spread out (numerous episodes starting from the first through to the last) as peyton's.

yeah, you don't experience those kind of emotions without love behind it. You get emotional pain with love, distress with love, you have sorrow and grieve with anguish from losing/not getting the things you love - Both Peyton and Brooke suffered it - peyton simply for longer (virtually every episode in s5).

I just think Peyton had already been hurting for the past seasons, dealing with Lucas. At least she's happy now. Brooke is facing new challenges in her life now although I think Brooke is getting numb from all of it. For one who never really felt how to be loved warmly by her family, that's just awful. Like Peyton, Brooke was hoping with the "she's my mother" line and her dream that Victoria would love her back only to wake up to know that she can never have what she wishes for. Brooke tried to avoid reality, hence, Angie. And now, getting attacked with the thought that it's her own mother who did that to her, it makes me sad. :(

In season 5 it was definetly Peyton! From 501 throughout the whole season she was heartbroken over Lucas. Haley and Nathan as tied number 2 for reasons already stated by sugassweet.

Brooke had her share of pain in s5, yes she did, but not as much as the rest. IMO. Season 6 is another story though. Had the question been who had more heartache in season 6, i'd say Brooke, but for season 5, i'd go with Peyton. And since we've only seen 4 episodes of season 6, that's what i'll stick to.

Hate to say this but as much as i love the tortured, emotional and broody Peyton Sawyer, her heartaches aren't as painful as Brooke's.

People are right about Brooke holding it in and suffering silently. She's falling apart and yet she sucks it up because she cares about the people who will worry about her. She doesn't want to burden them. Peyton's drama is all the same, really. Love the girl but sometimes her angst can get stretched and exaggerated. I agree that her mom dying and then Ellie dying was painful. Family heartache is the worst. When Jake left, she was broken again. Then the gunshot and stalker. All that. It was hard for her.

Season 5-6 was all about whining over Lucas. Now I maybe saying this as an anti-lp but I just don't think her heartache is that consuming. She's stubborn and won't talk to Luke about her shit and she just prolong stuff instead choosing reconciliation. And then of course, she has to make it look like it's so, so, painful when she can just walk away from it, accept that Luke has moved on (I can'tt say anymore about lp drama since it's irrelevant here)

Brooke's issues with her mother who doesn't believe she's good and smart enough and almost tries to sabotage her friendships were heartbreaking. The proof? When she said "I love you" to Victoria, what did she get? A slap in the face. Metaphorically. And I was really feeling sorry for her. She's talented, she's sweet, she's kind and generous...but her mother doesn't see this. She thinks her daughter is a doll she can put clothes on and talk however she demands it to talk. That is a heartache that won't be cured, what Brooke suffered with her mom. And Peyton's "happy" with Luke now, right, in s6? And Brooke is there, fighting the disease by herself, rising than sinking further, and she's braver than I ever remembered. She's never given enough credit for her strength.

How can one's grief and turmoil over a lover be more painful than a mother's rejection and apathy to her daughter?

If we're talking about emotional distress, Brooke has it...it's just that she can deal with it without breaking down and calling everyone to her aid like Peyton usually does when she's in 'pain' with Lucas 'not loving her anymore'

I still love and favor the great P.S. but Brooke is definitely one in a million.

My second choice is a tie with Haley (she tries to keep her family and yet somehow she feels like losing Nathan and Jamie and that is scary for anyone) and Nathan (watching your ego getting crushed along with your dreams while wearing a uniform of 'regrets' really sucks especially for a man like him) Then Lucas (because being torn apart between women he did love and care for is not easy, I admit.) And then finally Peyton, she's my fourth. She's in pain ABOUT A BOY. In Jeyton timeline, it would have been more convincing. But sorry, s5 'i'm crying over lucas giving away my engagement ring, boo-hoo' doesn't help the ratings...or any self-respecting individual. Oops, sorry if I offend!
