BUT...i did have a problem with some of the stuff he said- but i guess thats more of the writers fault than CMM's fault. he delivered his lines very well, and it was great that he cried because he so rarely- if ever- cries on the show. but his line about "we can try again (to have a baby)" or "we can always adopt"...REALLY made me angry because unfortunately i know way too many people who have been put in similar situations and that is NOT something that would be said. you dont replace one baby with another! if your child dies, you dont try to get pregnant again and expect that to replace your other child-- you have another child because you're adding to your family- not replacing! if god forbid i were to die, people wouldnt say to my parents "well at least you have 2 other daughters"- its about that individual child dying, not about having other children. and many people not in the situation see an unborn child so differently than a child that is born, yet once youre in the situation- it makes no difference when your own child is growing inside of you or out in the world already. while i understand peytons life being top priority- bargaining with peyton that they could have another child is not something that a father would say when his child could possibly die-- he would fight for the woman he loves to live, but not excuse the death of his child. or at least not a father who is supposed to be as loving as lucas's character is supposed to be. (even if he finally acts compassionately towards the child in the end of the episode) but i guess that wasnt CMM's fault...it was just poor writing for the character. If i had to chose a third, it would definitely be Austin, had there been no Leyton scene, he would have won hands down! Amazing acting, he totally put soo much more into Julian's character and what his relationship with Brooke means!!
