I have landed some huge scoop this week as we’ve confirmed that Julie Anne Robinson is circling Dimension Films’ to direct the classic 1988 cocktail remake which starred Tom Cruise. Based on what I’ve heard from various people who have pitched their version of Cocktail, the Weinsteins are looking for someone to make the remake fitted for “teens”, thus making the director of The Last Song perfect for the gig.
