there have been movies before the 1939 wizard of oz,
and after.
but it is the MGM's wizard of oz that we love so much,
L Fank Baum gave us the wonderful story.
we love so much.
the book and movie go hand in hand.

I've seen three movie versions: 1939 with Judy Garland, an old silent version, and the Muppets version (which sucked, btw). The 1939 was great, but the book was even better than it was.
