As the months passed, Jane's admiration for Kyle continued to grow. One day, Jane said, "Kyle, I have something to tell you." He said, "I have something to tell you, too, but I am willing to let wewe speak first." She said, "Thank you. I've been having these feelings for a while, and now I finally have the courage to say it. I upendo you, Kyle. I've loved wewe for the past couple of months." Kyle backed away. Jane was puzzled. "Kyle," she said, "what's wrong? Don't wewe upendo me, too?" He began slowly, "Jane, I...I upendo someone else." She cried, "What?!" He said, "I'm sorry. I thought wewe knew." She said, "It's Morgan, isn't it?!" He said, "Yes, it is. Listen, Jane, you're a nice girl and all, but...you're just...not my type." Jane was heartbroken. She said, "I don't understand. What's wrong with me?" He said, "There's nothing wrong with you. I'm just not interested in wewe romantically. I still like wewe as a friend, though." She began to cry. He said, "I'm sorry I hurt you, Jane. We can still be friends, right?" She said, "Well, I guess wewe liking me as a friend is better than wewe not liking me at all." During lunch, Jane told Paula what happened. Paula said, "I'm sorry it didn't work out, Jane." Jane said, "I know there's something wrong with me." Paula said, "Jane, there's nothing wrong with you. Maybe Kyle will come around and like wewe romantically." Jane asked, "What if he doesn't?" Paula said, "Then, you'll find someone else." Jane said, "There's nobody out there for me." Paula said, "Jane, look at me." Jane looked Paula in the eye. Paula said, "There is someone out there for you. He might come around when you're not even looking." This made Jane smile, but when she went home, she felt sad again. The inayofuata morning, she took her Siberian Husky puppy, Shiloh, for a walk. It was Saturday and rather pleasant for October in Grand Rapids. When Jane returned home, she went back to her bedroom. She looked at Shiloh and said, "I wish wewe could talk." Shiloh jumped onto the kitanda and rested on her owner's lap. Jane held her beloved pup close and cried.

Carl finished telling his story. John said, "This was a very touching story. I understand what you've been through." He wiped a tear from his eye. Peter had been crying, too. He said, "You're living a good life, mate." Stan, who rarely cried, was also crying. He said, "Yes, especially compared to what you've been through." Allen said, "I'm really glad wewe are living a good life." Erin and Lola hugged Carl. They admired how brave he was for telling his story. Erin, of course, sort of knew what he went through. After all, she had been abused kwa her grandfather. Paul placed a hand on Carl's shoulder and said, "You're a brave man, Carl. You're a brave man." Carl said, "Thanks for supporting me while I told my story. I'm glad that things have turned out for the better."
