Chapter 6
Rico stood silently, as his right eye began twitching a little bit. His nervousness was uigizaji up again. He couldn’t help it, it just happened when major events that would probably impact his life happened, such as the one that he stood before at that very moment. Marlene had a fake smile plastered on her face, tightly gripping Rico’s flipper, and getting tighter kwa the second.
“HE’S A PENGUIN!” Richard busted out laughing as he pointed at Rico’s flawless machungwa, chungwa beak and scampered his fingers through a couple of the feathers on the flipper Marlene wasn’t squeezing.
“Yeah…he is. What’s so wrong about that?” Marlene looked at him puzzled. Though she already knew the answer, she wanted to act extra innocent to remind Richard of the times that he hated her with all of his heart. Nope. That didn’t come out right. It was his black hole. Not a heart.
“YOU ARE DATING A FLIGHTLESS BIRD! Well, wewe always did have thing for LOSERS!” Richard continued to laugh at Rico. Rico’s rage began traveling from his little webbed feet, and nearly touching his brain. He gritted his beak together as tight as possible and his eyes shifted nervously, because he knew he would probably crack soon enough.
“He’s NOT a loser. wewe shouldn’t really judge him if wewe don’t know him.” Marlene rolled her eyes at Richard and placed both paws on her hips. And she knew that the words she alisema were true. Rico was the coolest guy she had met, she just wouldn’t admit it to anyone else but herself.
Rico felt himself blush a little bit after Marlene alisema that, but he decided to just shake it off before she noticed. But why was that so bad? They were boyfriend and girlfriend. Right? Wrong. It was just playing pretend that is what it would always be. Nothing more, nothing less. Playing pretend.
“Oh, so now wewe are defending him? If he really isn’t a loser, then why does his girlfriend speak for him? Huh?” Richard urged. He began chuckling evily, the pitch so high and devilish squeaking against Rico’s ears. The sound of the laughter made him wish he didn’t have ears. Then her noticed what Richard had said.
Rico backed away from Marlene and pushed Marlene’s paw away from his flipper. He knew he would end up hurting her if it stayed like that. He began gagging violently and felt his stomach suck in a lot of air like a vacuum. He then pushed the air out and a kisu came along with it.
Rico walked closer to Richard, whose eyes where narrowed in fear of death. The black in his eyes turning larger, and his eyes closing kwa the second. He shuddered a littler. Rico smirked deviously at him and pointed the kisu towards Richard’s belly.
“Huh?” Rico said, meaning zaidi of a “you were saying?”. Marlene sighed dreamily at Rico, hoping she hadn’t really done that out loud. She looked at Rico, his smile still on his face. She knew he hadn’t heard her, au else he would of freaked, and probably not in a very good way.
“Um...You know I was just playing about the whole…Loser thing…right?” Richard pushed his fingers against Rico’s chest, signaling him to back up because he was kind of taking his personal space.
“That’s what I thought.” Rico mumbled, but it sounded almost clear. Marlene’s eyes widened. She had never heard Rico talk in a full sentence that didn’t sound like gibberish. She blushed a little. She thought his voice was kind of hot. She shook her head, trying to get the stupid maoni out of her head.
“So, this is your boyfriend?” Richard tried to make sure that Marlene didn’t have hint of doubt. Marlene nodded and hugged one of Rico’s flippers. Rico began feeling himself get a little fussy inside, but he tried to keep himself stiff kwa thinking what Skipper had always told him. Monster trucks, men. Monster trucks.
Richard frowned a little, disappointed that he wasn’t going to be able to get Marlene as he was planning to from the beginning. He was just about to walk out when something peculiar caught his eye. He walked towards the object that sat at the corner, glue dripping from an arm. It was the doll.
He scattered his fingers on her arm and he looked at his hands after he touched her. He stared into her eyes and saw them glisten a cool blue that shimmered in the light. He sniffed a little and he could smell her plastic. He shrugged a little and turned back to Rico.
“Who is this?” Richard cocked his eyebrow. He had caught Rico. Why in the world would a guy who had a girl as amazing as Marlene have a plastic doll that seemed to be keeping him company. He picked her up and stood her kwa his side.
“Um…Girl…friend?” Rico didn’t know what other way to explain her now. He knew that she was a girl…and she was a friend. But when he alisema it together, it sounded as if he was saying the word girlfriend. Marlene and Richard both turned to him, Marlene slapped her forehead and Richard glared.
“SO! YOU’VE BEEN CHEATING ON ME?” Marlene yelled into Rico’s face and slapped him. Marlene winked at Rico, signaling him that she was just playing. She had to act serious because of Richard’s presence, so she tried to think of herself when she was 100% jealous of that piece of plastic.
“So, THIS is the guy wewe thought of being amazing? The one wewe “love”?” Richard questioned as he had a gaze of evil towards Rico. He knew one thing, and one thing only. He hated that backstabbing, moyo breaking, murdering, violent penguin. Richard thought of himself as being the best choice for Marlene to have, so he got an idea.
“NOW do wewe accept to marry me, Marlene?” Her stepfather asked. Marlene was about to shake her head when he interrupted. “OK, Honey. Now, we will have to go back to our old zoo. THERE IS NOT TIME TO WASTE!” He pulled on Marlene’s paw and they both disappeared. Rico waddled frantically out of the HQ, trying to find the pair of Asian otters, but they had left so fast, that there was NO trace of them whatsoever.
Rico looked around the HQ, finding himself alone. How would he EVER get Marlene back? WOULD he ever find her? What was Richard going to do? And did he even have a chance with Marlene? He thought the last remark was stupid, but somehow it seemed really important to him. He wished that his team was there, they would know what to do. Even Private would have a better plan than he did. He thought a little bit and found out that he had no other choice, but to go find her alone. Whatever it took. He would.
Author’s note: CHAPTER 6! Wow. So far already? Nice...Ha-ha. Rico blew his own cover. Seriously, he should of thought about it a little more. Well, the inayofuata chapters are going to get pretty exciting, so I hope wewe guys are here to see them. I hope wewe enjoyed this update…GOODBYE NOW! Wait…REVIEW! PLEASE!
