Ch 1:
Perry Mason had realized how busy he had been the last few months. He had recently finished a big case and won, and was working on another case that came in. He could tell that he couldn't do this kind of work on his own, so he thought he would put an advertisement in the local newspaper for help from another lawyer so they could come and work in his office. He asked his secretary, Della mitaani, mtaa to come into the office. Della came in, but knew how busy she was at her dawati as well with so many papers.
"Yes, Chief? wewe called?" she asked.
"Will wewe put an advertisement in the newspaper for me?" he asked.
"What kind of advertisement?" Della asked.
"It's a call for help, Della. wewe know how busy we've been for the last few months. I'm thinking of going into partnership with a lawyer au two," he said.
"I like the idea if we're so busy, Chief. I'll make one out right away," she alisema and left the office.
When Della left the office, she found a woman standing there.
"May I help you?" Della asked the dark - haired woman.
"May I speak with Mr. Mason?" the woman asked.
"One minute. I'll see if he would like to see you," Della alisema as she left her dawati once more.
Della walked to Perry's office once more.
"Chief, a woman would like to see you," Della said.
"Who is it?" Perry asked.
"Let me ask," Della alisema and left a sekunde time.
"What is your name, ma'am?" Della asked the dark - haired woman.
Della saw the woman was in her thirties and had hazel eyes. The dark - haired woman stood at five feet and four inches tall, Della noticed.
"Sorry I didn't notice myself, Ms. Street. My name is June Taylor. I came to ask Mr. Mason a swali au two," Ms. Taylor said.
"I'll see if he'd like to speak with you, Ms. Taylor," Della alisema and left again.
"She says her name is June Taylor, Chief. Would wewe like to see her? She says she has a swali au two for you," Della said.
"I guess I could. I guess it wouldn't hurt to see someone for a couple minutes," Perry said.
"No, it won't. I'll get started on the advertisement right away," Della alisema as she walked away from the open office door.
June Taylor saw Della come back to the dawati she worked at.
"Mr. Mason will see wewe now, Ms. Taylor," Della said.
"Thank you," June alisema and headed for Perry's open office.
Della couldn't hear the chitchat between June and Perry because the door was shut. She guessed June wanted it private so Della couldn't hear a single word what was alisema between Perry and June. She was curious what was going on but went on to start the advertisement for the partnership and put it in the newspaper. Della was so into the advertisement for the partnership she didn't realize the time June Taylor had left the office.
"Thank you, Mr. Mason," June Taylor alisema to Perry.
"You're welcome, Ms. Taylor," he alisema as he opened the door for June.
Perry didn't notice that Della had been so busy at work on the partnership ad. He didn't want to bother his secretary, so he shut his office door after June Taylor and went back to the paperwork that had been sitting there, waiting to be signed.
The siku went kwa quickly and he and Della were out of the office at five - thirty that day.
"I finished the advertisement, Chief. How does this look to you?" Della asked, handing the advertisement of partnership over to him.
He read it a couple of times without answering her. When he finished, he handed it back to her.
"It looks good, Della. wewe can put it in the newspaper first thing in the morning," he said.
"I will, Chief. I'm glad wewe like it," she said.
