The Joy of a Mother

wewe start to giggle
As wewe see the baby inside of wewe wiggle
wewe laugh with joy
When wewe have aliyopewa birth to a baby boy
wewe gasped once wewe heard
His voice saying his first word
With happiness wewe wept
At the sight of your son taking his first step
wewe smiled with a proud heart
When he comes back from school with his own work of art
Years and years go by
When it is time to say goodbye
Off to college he goes
Knowing he wont be back until it snows
But do not worry
He will not forget his Mommy
And now with gladness wewe are crying
As wewe hear the wedding bells ringing
Oh how happy it is to be
A grandmother of three!

upendo unto Death

At night I stay up

Thinking of wewe until my time is up

When I am gone I wish wewe the best

I upendo wewe even if wewe upendo me less

Never understood why we were apart

I guess we were never meant to be from the start

As the wind called my name

I was ready to go until wewe came

Kissed my hand and cheek

wewe alisema "I upendo you, and it is wewe whom my moyo seeks."

The temptation to go was as great as it was to stay

So I must be careful of what I do and say

Whatever i do is my choice

Who knows, we might miss each other's voice

I decide to stay with my love

As the stars tremble above

On my lips I'll keep a kiss

All my life I'll think of this

I can never say goodbye

Even if I die
