Why everybody hates Iris?

I don't understand why everyone hate her. I think she's an awesome character and her goal was great. Some people found her "Such a kid!" catchphrase annoying but still she's cool character. It was fun having a tomboyish character after girly May and Dawn (I'm not saying that girly is bad.). Iris is seriously underrated. I personally think that she was a better travelling companion than Serena.
