What's the difference between a cigarette and an ecigarette?

I don't smoke either, and I was wondering, what is the difference?
Ecigarettes are electronic but whats the point of having electronic cigarettes? Do they have less nicotine au something?

ok good swali wewe know i askd the same swali at drug class and the teach alisema they are both the same but the eciggarete doestn have any sekunde hand smoke...but its still a cancer stick..
