Wanglang, China - When the disastrous earthquake hit southwestern China, panda bears in the Wolong breeding station in Wanglang county, just 30 kilometres from the epicenter, broke out in panic.

'The bears cried in sheer terror. I have never heard them like that before,' Gao Qiang, one of the wardens, told China's official news agency, Xinhua.
