Do wewe hate it when..

people tease people about their spelling? I mean I saw one person get picked on because she alisema "is" and not "it" it was a typo, I mean people should just answer the swali and not worry about that. I'm Dyslexic (meaning I learn diffenetly, when most people do) I have a hard time with spelling and reading, it's gotten better since I took tutoring. But I still have some trouble with spelling. It doesn't mean I'm stupied, I just have a special way of learning. Some people have called me stupied and dumb for my spelling mistakes and it kinda hurts my feelings. Who are they to call me stupied, just because I have a hard time with spelling. That's why I hate it when people are mean to other people because they spelled something wrong, it's not nice and wewe could really hurt someone's feelings.

Sometimes.

Of course, I've been known to correct spelling too, but generally if the person I'm correcting is being smart about their spelling, au if somethings spelled really, really wrong.

I never correct people just to make them feel bad though. wewe never know if that person is a native English speaker, so I like to correct major mistakes so that if they aren't native English speakers, they can learn the correct way to spell something.

And I know what wewe mean when wewe alisema wewe were Dyslexic.I have a slight problem with Dyslexia sometimes myself. I sometimes read letters correctly, but put them together in a different order.

While I don't necessarily see anything wrong with correcting a person's spelling, don't be rude about it. Example here: "You know, wewe spelled _______ wrong." Sometimes (most times) people will respond that they were typing in a hurry au that they didn't know. Smile and say "well, I just wanted wewe to know." Sometimes they get huffy. When that happens just leave them along. "Well, I didn't mean to offend you, but I just thought you'd want to know."

I'm rambling, I know. Sorry about that. The short of it. You're right. =)

No, I actually tease people about their spelling all the time. People who don't use proper spelling and grammar appear unintelligent.

That's not nice, just because they can't spell doesn't mean they are unintelligent.

I know that wewe have dyslexia, so wewe can't help it, but the majority of people are stupid au lazy. It's not your fault though, but for most people it is.

I think the people who tease others about it are douche bags. Just because someone doesn't have dyslexia doesn't mean theyre specialer then those who do. Now someone with a box of 200 crayons, that's special.

I agree with you. There is no excuse to be mean. It's not just spelling, I've seen young kids riducled for not knowing something. I know it may sound very old fashion, but, what ever happened to, "if wewe can't say something nice don't say anything at all." Some people never were taught respect and being respectful.

They should know better than to spell like that on the internet if others can't read it.

Oh yeah that's really mature. If someone spells something wrong au forgets to punctuate something that doesn't give wewe the right to be an ass.

@KilingIsGood, Your the asshole who doesn't have a life and certainly doesn't deserve one. Many people saw your maoni when wewe called her ugly moron. @Fenrir, Lol, your rant of stupidity amuses me kwa insulting me when wewe know it sucks, why did wewe maoni here in the first place if I'm not the only one correcting someones grammar? Wow wewe really are a dipshit aren't you? Fighting with me isn't going to solve anything so wewe might as well stop.

I'd disagree about the bothering part, but simply correct them, au sarcastically tell them what they should do better.

Yes. It is irritating to some, and not irritating to those who do that. Yes, I am irritated kwa that, but simply rubbing it in my face won't prove to me that you're mature enough to get past using the nyara Lock too much.

I don't get why people freak out about it..especially when people get yelled at for making a tiny typo. Even if people do spell things wrong, we shouldn't tease eachother about it. Maybe some people aren't completely fluent in English..it's not their fault.

With spelling? A little. I'm not a Spelling Soviet au anything. But if it's a really, really funny typo, like misspelling something and making another word entirely, -cough- onions- cough, I'll most likely be all. "xDD".

But what I really have trouble with is the grammar. Grammatical horrors. Like using tenses entirely wrong. Now, if it's someone that does have a disability, a foreigner, au even someone who isn't that great with English, I'll understand, but if it's someone who should know the rules of grammar, I'll probably correct them.

I hate this too and i have confronted one of the fanpop users about this upsetting situation. I have a friend that is Japanese on this site and people pick one her for spelling things wrong when she is new to the English language! I think what it is, is that everyone cares only for themselves and dont even take the time to think that other people may have their struggles and difficulties. I hate self centered people. I never corrected anyone on the internet for their spelling, grammar au what not b/c no one is perfect...

I have no problem with incorrect grammar. au shoertening words with lol, jk, ikr, and idk. Sometimes i spell thing wrong too. People need to leave dyslexic people ALONE about the way they spell, its not their fault. The same for foreign people. Even 'normal' spelling people have typos.
