It could be good. As long as the simplicity of fanpop is still there and it doesn't ruin the layout of our profiles which I like.

If I were wewe I'd make a pick 'Do wewe think we should have backgrounds on our whole profile?' with a 'yes' and 'no' option. If the majority of users pick 'yes' then I recommend sending a message to this link;
