Guys, would wewe rather study PHILOSOPHY au PSYCHOLOGY? What are your opinions about these two subjects? Which one interest wewe zaidi and why does it interest wewe zaidi than the other? I need a detailed answer, thank wewe very much....

Psychology I think... I've already finish two of my three mandatory philosophy classes and yes it has been interesting but it's just not my thing. At some point, I just don't want to think that deeply. I have to say Nietzsche was VERY interesting even though I'm a christian.

I haven't had any psychology class so far though, so I can't really compare these two that well but if I think about the job each of these would get me, I would like to be in psychology zaidi (and that has nothing to do with the salary). If you're a psychologist, wewe get to help people with their problems, they ask wewe advice so that they can be happy after. My Marafiki often ask me advice and I try the best I can to help them and I do enjoy helping them. Moreover, it's fun to be able to know how different people generally behave depending on the situation they're going through.

So, if I had to choose, I'd pick psychology. I'd rather understand people and be able to help them then TRY to understand the world.

Why do wewe ask? Do wewe have to choose between these two? :)

Those are two subjects I want to take classes on badly.

From what I know, philosophy is supposed to be about ideologies about certain things, whether about a person, society, au how things work in this world. Some of the big philosophers back in ancient times were Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, and Confucius. I've always wanted to look into both modern and ancient philosophy, but the section in my town's public maktaba is small in philosophy, and there's no class offered at my high school.

Psychology is the study of one individual, and key factors that might affect that individual in the mind. It's kinda like understanding why a person does what they do. Psychology is a vast subject, however, what makes it so interesting to me is because we don't know much at all about the brain. It's like a mystery yet to be solved. Not to mention psychological factors such as insanity, depression, and all other disorders really intrigue me.

To be honest, I'm not sure which one I'd take. If it were possible, I'd take both.

Psychology (I actually do want to study that when college comes around.). Specifically, Criminal Psychology. After watching so many episodes of CSI and NCIS, it makes me wonder what drives a person to do stuff like that. What happened to them, that made them do that? What were they thinking before, during, and after the crime? Is there any way we can stop it? Are serial killers born, is it in genetics, is it a disease, a brain injury?
A growing theory is that it comes from genetics. We all have 'killing genes' in us. But it's the frontal lobe (which deals with planning, jusgement, and self control) that acts like a stopper for those thoughts. It reasons out killing someone (which, face it, we've all imagined doing one time au another). And if the frontal lobe is damaged, those thoughts and instincts become zaidi present. About 70% of those who have had frontal lobe injuries have violent tendencies. Take the case of Phineas Gage, for example. He didn't become a killer, but what happened to him led to a lot of discoveries about the brain and how it works.
In 1848, Gage was blasting rock for the railroads when an iron rod blasted through his frontal lobe. His left frontal lobe was pretty much scrambled. He was able to speak, and walk with little asistance dakika after the accident. He was taken to the local physician, who patched him up. Long story short, he lived. But he had changed after the accident. Before, he was a gentleman. After, he was rude, selfish, arrogant, and spewed profanity. The change was so drastic, that his close Marafiki and family alisema he was "No longer Gage." The didn't even recognize him.

It's stuff like that that interests me. I could go on and on about different cases of killers (but this one's probably long enough.) Hope this is good enough. :)

I would chose psychology, because I originally want to study psychiatry and psychology is the closest thing when it comes to theoretical studies, and not science/medical ones.
