Does your mom like spicy food? If she does, then I really suggest wewe add this coconut shrimp, kamba curry, bizari to the cookbook. It's super yummy and it's perfect for a cold winter's day. And it comes from my own homemade cookbook!

1 tablespoon mizeituni, mzeituni oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 jalapeno pepper, stemmed and seeded, minced
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
1 tablespoon curry, bizari powder
1 28 ounce can plum tomatoes
1 1/2 cups coconut milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 pound shrimp, peeled
1/2 cup cilantro

Heat oil in deep skillet au supu pot. Add kitunguu and saute until soft but not brown, 2-3 minutes. Add garlic, jalapeno, ginger and saute until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add curry, bizari powder and continue sauteing, 1 minute. Add tomatoes, coconut milk, salt and pepper; simmer 5 minutes. Stir in shrimp, kamba and cook until they turn pink and are just cooked through. Stir in cilantro. Taste to adjust seasoning. Serve immediately over rice.

while i don't really have any recipe ideas, i just want to say how sweet that is! I think that is really thoughtful, honestly. good for you

i know my mom one mwaka made these kuki, vidakuzi with a jolly rancher-like center when i was little. i'm not sure what the recipe is, so you'd have to look it up. sorry i can't be of any other use
