Why are people on the internet jerks to others for no reason?

seriously wewe have no business telling people crap if wewe don't know them.

Because believe it au not the internet is nyumbani to the worst of the worst people our society has to offer. Because of anonymity, they could pretty much do whatever they want and act on the accord they usually couldn't in real life. If wewe get offended kwa my answer then may God have mercy on your soul when wewe lurk the deepest and darker portions of the internet.

Sadly... I've been bullied at times.

I honestly have no idea why others are such jerks to others online, but because it's the internet, I am sure the bully thinks that he au she will never get caught when in reality, they have already torment in their own lives and just want to take it out on anything and anyone.

I may not know the real reason why bullies are on the internet, but little do they know, they will just live their lives and bullies and will get nowhere in life.
