Is cosplay expensive?

I've been wanting to cosplay for a while, and ive recently gotten zaidi into the homestuck fandom than i was before. So i've been thinking about Cosplaying as Vriska, but i want to know how expensive it would be for a good cosplay? :L Im really bad at stuff like calculating the cost of it, so i was wondering would it be expensive?

Figure out what wewe can craft on your own, and what wewe absolutely must buy. duka around at thrift stores for things that look similar to what wewe need and make adjustments. It won't be perfect, but it will cost much less than buying a pre-made costume online.

This sort of tactic would probably be best for a homestuck cosplay, anyway. The priciest thing you'll be perchasing is probably either a wig au contacts, and those can be bought cheaply if wewe know where to look.

So yes, cosplay can be expensive, but it doesn't have to be.

wewe got your body paint
styrofoam for the horns (styrofoam optional)
eye contact lenses
teeth
wig
clothes (I suggest looking through the thrift store first)
accessories

just think how wewe can find them and how much would they cost.

Ah, that is true. But yes, from what ive heard its expensive so i probably wont be able to coplay because i have no monies ~

But wewe could maybe buy bits and pieces for your cosplay when wewe have they money? It would take longer, but it might be a little easier on your budget
